Now that John is home from the NICU, he isn't wanting to sleep in the PNP that we have set up as a bassinet in the bedroom. He fusses and cries until one of us holds him. He will sleep on the couch next to me by himself, though. We can't figure out what to do to get him to sleep by himself in the PNP. We were up all night holding so he'd sleep. My DH was just at the NICU and he was given her hearing test certificate (she passed). I got excited b/c I believe they dont do these until close to release! Right? Am I getting excited for nothing? I saw another baby get the test and was then released. I dont think shes ready today or tomorrow ( feedings are only 3 out of 4 with bottle) but this is a good sign right? ::waiting for a possible ...

Aubrey had her surgery this morning to put in the temporary shunt/resevior. The nurses and doctor said she was a champ. Not a single problem with her breathing or anything! They drained about 20mL of fluid out of her brain. She has a scan on Monday again. I hope her brain starts absorbing fluid on it's own now so that she doesn't have to have a permanent shunt put in. I've read/heard it's ...

I had my baby, Brandon, 8 weeks ago today. He was born at 26 weeks and has been doing well overall. Everything he has gone through has been typical 26 week things from what the doctors and nurses have said. Two days ago he started running a fever. He was 100.2 and then 100.4. She takes a full feed by bottle with the nurses and OT. Her intake minimum is 50cc right now. Today she took 40 with me although all night feedings by bottle were full 50cc. I saw the OT and asked why and she said it could be due to the fact that I am more relaxed with her so she's more relaxed while the nurses have other babies to care of so DD isnt as relaxed with them b/c she senses their ...
