My FI is rarely picky about anything, and I could not BELIEVE how picky he was about my engagement ring. He was very particular about the size, and where he bought it, and the color. I guess because they feel it's a reflection of them... it's a big purchase for a guy, a huge deal, and they know you'll be showing it to all your friends and coworkers and random strangers. That is the only reason I can imagine my FI insisted on a...

Sounds like you've already told him off about it if he's giving you apology back rubs. So I'd buy a cheap recorder and keep it on whenever he's in the office and just keep it on you so you could get some proof, then go to the owners. I agree with whatever Jeana just said. The years they come and go, but times like this, no they never get old. I'd live a hundred more, because a life like this is what living's for....

Ok cool - if you decide to delete your other response in my thread it's cool since it does still have your e-mail addy in it. I gave the answer I wanted to give to you in there anyway. I still think he probably has taken what you told him you like into account when he does eventually go shopping for rings. When DH and I were dating we lived 2 hours away from each other - he moved here before we got engaged but we are very close to moving...

Well on one note...i have no classes tomorrow and only a meeting for work at 1. On another note. I was looking on petfinder.com and the shelter I went to the other day put up a pitcure of the dog i really wanted.. :( i hope she gets adopted really soon... she really needs to be fattined up a bit. Plus its almost harder for me to see her in the shelter knowing i really want her but can't have her right now... -

Hi! I think you should try to keep in mind that guys often need to do things their own way or at least in their own time. It's not that they aren't listening to us and what we want, but they need to feel like they have some choice in what they do when. It's like when I visit my mom and I'm helping with dinner. If I get to choose what I contribute, I'm much happier than if she stands over my shoulder directing me...

Button, some ladies on WW have said that seeing an attorney may be the best way to handle this problem. Don't be put off by the C&P, they brought up a lot of points I hadn't thought of: http: //talk.theknot.com/boards/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=627 33492 Not quite married

That would bug me. BF has told me that if/when he buys a ring, it's going to cost more than I think it should (I figure under a grand is more than fine...he disagrees). Grr! I don't want anything huge, but anyway. These guys seem to have a weird opinion about this stuff. Surely, you can find out the designer, and find the ring elsewhere. That shouldn't be too difficult. Then show BF the price difference...somehow I doubt...

How do you know he ignores it? Does he say so? I would bet if you've talked about it some he may actually be cataloging what you say you like to try and find a setting he thinks you would like. As far as an Oct '10 date it is possible to plan a wedding in a shorter amount of time but I also don't know how quickly things book up in SoCal. What's is like to be with a pilot? Is he gone a lot? If ...

If he really stalls on this, perhaps you could find out the designer of the ring and find it at another store, then show him the price difference and see if he comes around. I can only imagine Sam's would be less since they're a wholesale club. I didn't even care about getting something that sparkled. I would've said yes to a ring pop. But I seriously lucked out in getting my grandma's ring,...

That's tough! I'm not sure of the whole situation but is there any way that you can talk to the person who is making you uncomfortable? Maybe this won't help but I'm the type of person that likes to speak directly to the people that I'm having issues with and try to delicately work it out. If not then maybe you should have a chat with the owner?...Don't say who is making you uncomfortable ...

Woohoo! Let's sit on the Knot and not do homework together!
I, too, have a shitton to get done for this coming week and the week after. I stayed home instead of going out with all of my friends (including BF) today to get it done...I've barely accomplished anything except laundry, and it's 2:30 already! I just can't seem to get into study mode today. Getting my ironing done is actually ...

Hi!
I don't think I really have any good advice for you though- I'm
terribly shy and I hate meeting new people. But I guess, when I met my
BF's parents I just tried to be polite and smiled a lot even though I was nervous. And definitely stay
open-minded. It's weird to meet the people who could become
part of your family. Especially if they're very different from your
own family. ...

Oh crap, that sucks. I got nothing. Okay maybe I would call him back and say "I'm not busy, don't know why GF told you that?" Maybe that will lay some seeds of doubt in his mind about her truthfulness. Probably not though if she was saying how unsatisfied she was in the relationship and he thinks everything is fine. There's no way you could talk to her again and hopefully find out she was ...

What part of the holidays are you most looking forward to this year? family! and not thinking about anything school related for at least a few days Any big holiday plans this year? um... no. I would go with Aug 7 b/c it doesn't inconvenience you or anyone in your wedding party and really there isn't much difference between 1 or 2 weeks between weddings as far as being a guest is concerned. If I was attending all those weddings I'd want the last one to be asap so the big wedding rush didn't drag on longer.

I'm so with you on non- strapless! And pickups. Love: - at least cap sleeves, or an off-the-shoulder thing - fitted, natural waist Hate: - horizontal gathering - tons of lace I'm sure I'll think of more, haha.
