Informative website on kitten...

Stefan, I'll do my best to find more. This one though is by far my favourite because it gives a person a sense of how big the kittens are at each stage. The placement in the uterine horns is most interesting, you can see how you could miss a sign of pregnancy if there is only one baby. I am going to print it out for future reference.

It's not that unusual, mum will tell them when she's had enough. Hope everyone is spayed/neutered now, don't want the boys mating their mum or sisters.

Most moms do says clear and loudly NO Thanks, often send them away too. Not this one... If you want to joke a little, here you see an illustration of that renown "jiddische momme" in the cat world Tx a lot for helping them, and giving them a loving home!

So I had a stray pregnant kitty come to my apartment and I ended up keeping her. She had 5 kittens and I had planned on finding homes but after awhile they were just so attached to each other I couldn't bare to separate them so I decided to keep them all, and the mama loves having them around. So, all the kittens started eating at the normal age, they're healthy, they've obviously been with their mama long enough so they...

Love and comfort. Nothing like knowing mommy loves you. They'll quite after awhile - or she'll get sick of it! Good for you for helping them all...

My mother cat Loudmouth did this for a long time too. After I got her spayed tho things changed and she doesn't let them nurse anymore. Have you gotten the mother cat spayed yet? This can help a lot. Also, try rubbing just a bit of lemon juice, or bitter apple spray on her teats. Gives the kittens a surprise and can sometimes deter them. Just a suggestion, if it's getting on your nerves, or if the kittens are injuring mama kitty.

Hi, new to the site
We just got a couple kittens this weekend from someone who was giving them away - one is a seven week old kitten was is on dry food but was still occasionally nursing from the mother. We also took in her cousin, a male 5-month old maine coon mix. (He is HUGE for five months.. lol!)
Since they were raised together, they are perfectly friendly with each other, best ...

Be prepared to have kittens very soon! Once the mom starts producing milk, you know that the birthing isn't very far. Well, as long as she is kept in a calm and peaceful environment. Cats usually attempt to hide their pain, so (in the situations I was in) they usually don't make a lot of noise. They will find their "nesting box" or hiding spot she deems safe and will have her kittens there. She ...

A cat usually is fully grown/development at about 2 yrs old. Some smaller breeds like Rexes would be full grown by 14 months; Maine Coons would take 4 yrs.
Usually by about 12-16 months they are pretty much as big as they will get and only fill out a little more, or if longhair, develop a heavier coat.
Keep in mind that females are smaller then males.

Baylen and my grandpa kitty, Boomer.
I can't tell you how much fun these kittens have been. And I am sure they all will be fun when full grown.
My son, who is a teen, is now laughing all the time. He was always rather morose. The kittens have brought out this laughing side of him I have not seen in years. I also think that raising them from birth will retain all their ...

I have no clue about the counter except to say it's up high and cats often prefer to be up high. Perhaps she thinks that the kitties will be safer up on the counter (& thus, in her mind, safer)???
Is there anyway you could make a privacy screen for her in the corner of the room to give her more security? You could use boxes or even arrange furniture differently to accommodate her. She's ...

Oh, he's still tiny. For now just pick one room for him - like a bedroom. As he gets a little older (10-12wks) his memory will get a bit better and he'll be able to hold his pee and poop long enough to get to a litter box.
Having more than one litter box is a good idea since your house is large.
Look for enzyme cleaners in the pet sections at stores or at pet stores. These are made to get...
