Good morning, it's a little overcast and 43 degrees. I cook breakfast on Sat and Sun and lunch out during the week. Nothing on my agenda today, just the usual boring stuff.

One of the posters brought up a valid issue. Is you mate your husband? If now how does he really feel. I would suggest some counseling before you go much further. My son wife do not have children, and they really don't want any because of things that happen in their marriage. There temperaments just could not cope with it.

Good Morning!

Good morning, all. I haven't gotten started on anything in particular yet. I don't know as I will do much prior to going to the dentist early afternoon, just the normal 6 month thing but they always find something. Then if I'm able, I'll run a few errands. It's a dreary day here in my part of Ohio today. We got some rather weak sunshine yesterday but that's still better than gray. Shirley

My first year as hostess at Thanksgiving I roasted the bird 'face down' (because I didn't know any better). It was moist and tender, but not very brown. I see that some chefs suggest roasting the legs separately, because the dark meat takes longer to cook -- by the time a thigh is done, the breast can be drying out. This would be fine if you carve in the kitchen.

Salgal, I can't understand your pain. I have 3 children, and none were planned ahead.. But I can clearly say that I am sooooo satisfied with the thought of no more! However, people are living longer than they used to, and I'd say in relative good health, you could easily have a child if you wanted one, with or without your mate. If you long, (and it seems you do) and your heart aches for ...

Absolutely did! I was hoping that he would win. I agree with Orie, but will go one further. I think he was a snake and I don't doubt that some of the unseen dialog amongst the judges was about his attitude and marketability.

I read your post twice to make sure I read it correctly. I saw the emphasis on ME ME ME. It appears you live close to your kids and I assume you see them often. Since you probably see them often, I figure they want to go see some different relatives. You have to remember that your daughter is married and he has relatives on his side of the family to see too. Once kids get old enough and get ...

Live on a boat or in an RV? Lots of folks have, but I want a home on a piece of land. We do travel a lot in our small motor home, though. And we live in two mobile homes (old ones extensively remodeled) that are in the shape of an L, on the river, here in MN. And for five months, we live in an old mobile home (also remodeled) in FL. We love everything about our life.

Here is a link to reading lists provided by the American Library Association and RIF (Reading is Fundamental). One is arranged by age, the other by grade. I don't think they are divided by gender but many of the titles are appropriate for both. Here is a link that might be useful: reading lists
