Tested NW slope off Lesser Flute by crossed tips to headplant and got top 10cms of storm snow to fail on soft slab. Bed surface was a mix of coarse grains and wind slab. Also headed out to Flute Backside. Nov 26 rain crust buried under between 30 -50cms of fist to 4F snow.

Living in Maui I have seen 4-10 custom board manufacturers on one island making carbon epoxy vacuum-bagged construction boards with 10 day to 3 week turn around. They would NEVER sell if they did not stand up to intense scrutiny, right off the beach in huge surf. These same builders make the boards 99% of the pros take world-wide to compete on. The custom market and R&D here completely drives the designs that the factory boards follow....

I've heard an urban myth that somebody doubled up Jordan top to bottom; no middle landing. Slinky maybe? My first time up Whistler in 98 I saw a guy drop the big cliff above the Franz's goat path. The most impressive line off of Jordan I've seen was the big drop in, straight line, perfect landing and then the guy went for an air over the trees below off a built up wind drift. Just ...

Today's my B-day, was planning on a nice long MTB ride, but way too smoky, so may as well brew up a long overdue batch. Doing a Newcastle style brown ale roughly based on a recipe in a book I can't remember where I got. Calls for adding 6 oz of brown sugar, something I've never done in 25 years of brewing (yes I'm old), my recipe for a 5 gal is roughly: 3 lbs Amber Extract 3 lbs Light ...

I'm mostly into thigh-deep trees, big hucks, my powder pluses, perilous situations, good dogs, and women that like to arm wrestle. I just got back from Mendocino which was a trip. Everyone is a little tweaky out there. The land is gorgeous and everyone I met had screw loose which was fun. It's not if TGR can handle it but rather if YOU can handle it. Are you ready for the shitshow and name calling that will ensue if your product doesn't meet expectations? I say post it up.
