Lumps in lower abdomen
Published (2009-12-22 10:16:00)
It never ends, does it? The only things I can think of are cysts. I think the lower abdominal lymph nodes are too deep to feel. Has Evan had any injuries to his legs, or had a colonoscopy lately? Did they do blood tests to check for infection? How about a PSA for his prostate?

I was diagnosed with bilateral TC on 11/23/09 and had first IO on 11/30/09 and my second one this Wednesday. The first tumor removed was 4 cm and 95% embryonal carcinoma similar to you, but the tumor in my left testicle is only 1 cm and neither I or my urologist could feel it but it was clear on CT scan. I would definitely get it checked out our type of cancer seems to be pretty aggressive. Did your doctors discuss the RPLND surgery with you....

I don't think you should have a biopsy. If there was a tumor then it would show up on the ulra sound. It would be much easier for you to have another ultra sound in 4 to 6 weeks. Then you will start to feel more comfortable. Their are other guys in this forum with the same condition. My testicle seemed to bother me for a while after the orchiectomy but now I don't even notice it.

Hey Dude, My remaining nut also showed signs of microlithiasis and I did not have a biopsy...however my urologist does have me go in for an ultrasound every 6 months. Andy

Right little bit worried about this guys.... Basically I have had discomfort in the remaining testicle since I was diagnosed in April. At the time of diagnosis I also Bi-lateral hydrocele at diagnosis. This prompted me to ask for another ultrasound examination to be performed. This thankfully showed no tumour, however it did show that Testicular Microlithiasis had developed in the remaining testicle. this wasn't like a succession of...

I'm really interested to hear what you find out about this. Patrick also had bilateral microlithiasis, but only left-sided tumor. His first urologist didn't talk about it at all. His onco was much more concerned about it. But, as of yet, no one has said to do follow-up ultrasounds other than his GP. More importantly, no one has ordered them. I've been trying to read up on it, for our next visit to the onco (January). Let me know...

Lumps in lower abdomen
Published (2009-12-22 10:07:00)
Hi everyone, its almost been 2 years since Evan finished chemo, but now we are starting to worry again. He has had some pain in his lower left abdomen with swelling in the same area and went to the Dr. who said it was a possible infection and gave him an antibiotic. Well it seemed to help a little it didn't get better. Being worried he started to feel around his lower abdomen and has found a few small lumps (had dull pain as well). I have...

No scientific advice but a few comments. Their is no reason to think it would effect your prior chemo treatment. The chemo medicine did its work and left your body. But seriously do you need to take somthing that your not sure about? I doubt its going to speed things up to make it worth it. I was taking supplements and working out 5 days a week before I got diagnosed. I often sit and ponder...

My friend, I applaud you for being willing to focus on your own experience to share with others. You, your experience and your compassion are ALL remarkable. I truly believe that one day, if it hasn't happened already, you sharing your experiences will lead to a man doing a self exam, or a wife urging her husband to go to the doctor because he has a lump or swelling. I have experienced a lot ...

Once after my son was diagnosed I did something that made my right side very painfull. I figured it was from slaming down on my bicycle seat with the boys in the wrong position. It took several weeks for the pain to go away. I would trust you doc's here and simply take their advice.
