No i think its a good idea to leave it as is...this might open up any new members eyes as to what to expect being a newbie. i've actually enjoyed the experience...certainly opened my eyes up & actually having a good few spanish friends would never expect this welcome from any of them.... so i hope the forum keeps up the good work in making people who newly join feel welcome.

thank for advice... yes, he has tought of that,.. but money is scarce at the moment,.. and to set up a place, you need to be away really, from houses, where barking etc, will not disturb other people.. maybe later, he will get the chance at this..

What sort of computer work?
There was quite a bit of web design and seo work not so long ago but since the demise of the property sector all of the estate agents who were previously spending lots in this area have drastically reduced their budgets.
I would maybe concentrate on getting IT related work outside of Tenerife rather than inside at this point in time.
Not so bad if you have a UK ...

I did 18 months coach driving for 2 companies in Tenerife .But nothing going now in that line of work.

I don't know about any paid work with dogs. But there is certainly lots of opportunity working voluntarily with the rescue centres in Tenerfie. K9, Live Arico etc.
Has your friend thought about setting himself up as a groomer, dog trainer, dog walker etc.. obviously he needs the right qualifications.
