How to FWD Recep DN to Paging ZN...

Ahh.  CICS?  Use the ATA port.  Fwd the recept set to the ATA, and the ring will generate right off the system. As a rule, I still like Service modes and ring generators better.  There are better uses for ATA's.

External Calls Ring Wrong Extension
Published (2009-11-13 12:06:00)
I understand the meaning of making the line private. Prime set is already set to 4614 and always has been. F983- Ans:N Answer DNs are not assignment for any extension. We only have 2 hunt groups setup. But, I did check all available to make sure either extension was not assignment. Nothing there. Here is how this started: original user of 4614 left the company and forwarded all his calls to 4641. New person hired. Canceled call forward (F#4)....

I've had this problem maybe three times, had to change public to private to the ext.It corrected the problem all three times, and I never looked back for a rhyme or reason.   Disclaimer> I could be wrong

What type of lines do you have and what method of external forwarding are you using? - Extension forwarding via routing/destination tables - voicemail box forwarding (from within a mailbox) - Centrex based (RBOC, Central Office line) line forwarding Are you sure that the call hasn't completed, thus naturally dropping the call indicator?

I believe that you will need Norstar Manager 10.0 to be able to work with MICS/CICS 7.0. as the older NM 9.0 doesn't have all of the compatible map files.

Are we talking about a did that is supposed to ring to 4614 only, that is ringing to 4641 instead? Double check the target line, and make sure that it is not programmed to ring x 4641 under Terminals and Sets/Line Assignment.

R1T1 will handle a T1, but PRI requires R4.0 or higher (recommend at least R6.1 MR). The services card would need to be added and it will work with either T1 or PRI. The NAM would have to be sent out for upgrade to R4.1. Brian Cox BC Telecom Services
