The trouble was, when the 9v cooked out, they often cooked the cp, too. If you didn't replace the 9v with an 8v before you started having trouble, then odds are the damage has already been done, and like thecoming, you'll have to replace the whole thing. In Nortel's defense, as soon as they realized there was a problem, they offered the 8v power supply free of cost to authorized dealers.

Not sure what you are asking, last bottom button is usually Hands free, the next 2 up would be your intercom. Make sure under capabilities you've activated the hands free to auto

CICS Cover problems
Published (2009-11-21 21:23:00)
I am surprised because Nortel has always been pretty logical in it's design. However on the MICS covers the little plastic lock is also easily damaged because it is made out of a soft plastic. I will say that cleaning any Nortel device is pretty easy since the plastic they use gives up most any kind of dirt. I recommend using PLEXUS plastic spray a tooth brush and a clean cloth and you will be amazed...

The number people call in on is probably answered by a line programed for DISA. (Direct Inward System Access)

Your AT & T rep is wrong. It is called # replacement & is something that your telco should offer if these are analog lines.

not that I'm aware off, at least the CICS won't do it alone, maybe some type of third party CTI app that you can intergrate but i've never heard of one for a Norstar.

If you don't know what level of software was originally in this MICS, then you'll need to open up the MICS and short the memory cap on the motherboard. I'd advise bleeding off the voltage through a 100 ohm resistor to avoid possible damage to the MICS. Brian Cox BC Telecom Services
