Personally I would use #2, as I have had problems with TCP message fragmentation causing issues with the SIP signaling. You will need to have site A register as both H.323 and SIP for your SIP calls to work properly. Are both SIP and H.323 enabled on the site A signaling servers?

Hi guys, Answer to Allenmac, yes both H.323 and SIP are enabled on Site A's Leader and Follower SS. The SIP settings are the same between Site A and B and the NRS. I will be back on site tomorrow (sigh...as this site is about 1.5hrs drive away). Though I have double checked all the config that Reusser has stated but I will be triple checking it all again. Anyway, it must be my brains that are not functioning due to the wee hours, I...

Found a work around in building a bogus ACD group NCFW to external number and works fine. Don't know why but this is second site I have heard using this work around. The set CFW's just 4 digits and people calling from outside goes to cell phone instead of intercept to operator. Thanks for help and suggestions all.

The reason why you can't dial out is due to the ATA not being assigned a line pool or it has barring applied to it. You need to go into programming and this is done via a terminal. You need to access the "configuration" or "Terminals and Extensions" section (depending upon which Norstar model you have!) Go to line access and follow key in your extension number. you should be able to add any ...

What you need to do is to print off your outgoing numbers as I think that you will need to change the RLI that will have in it the route to allow free phone calls. If you access the system with means to capture the data in LD 86, LD 87 and LD 90 etc, then use my guide to print out in excel the networking information. http:/ /www.ghtro ut.com/ght rout/files /BARS-TNB_ Parsing_Ma cro_Firebi ...

To answer your questions: 1. Yes. I currently have about a dozen sites networked running various released from 4.5 to 5.5, with 3 sites H.323 Only, 1 Site H.323 and SIP, and the rest SIP only. All sites can call every other site. 2. You should already have NRS configured. You need to have both Site A and Site B in the same CDP Domain. Once both sites are registered to the NRS, and your ...

The usual suspect would be that someone has callforwarded x2272 to the overhead paging number. Check if you get interrupted dialtone on x2272, or TRAC the TN in LD 80.

I'm not entirely clear on the exact nature of the question you're asking. But let me hazard a guess. Are you referring to the configuration of a T1 circuit? There are two setups: 1. PRI - Primary Rate Interface (uses a d-channel) 2. CAS - Channel Associated Signaling (uses inband signaling, no d-channel) Before going off on the wrong path, please post more details.
