Microsoft Word Can't To...

No, that is true.  Bitmap versus Vector graphic.  A concept that appears beyond scope of most.  All bitmaps are specific information regarding separate and specific pixels in a grid, and are resolution dependent.  Sitting there as a file, there is NO information about the relationship of pixel_A to pixel_B, even if they are beside each other. All manipulation of pixels...

Name of Worksheet into cell
Published (2008-12-03 09:29:00)
"...as one would expect using ANY spreadhseet function, if the calculation mode has been set to MANUAL." That's a little over-simplistic. Even with Automatic recalculation switched on, a re-calculation is not triggered by saving, printing, or copying (at least in Excel 2003). As a result, if you enter an =cell("filename", A1) formula and then use "Save as" with a new name, the old, incorrect name will remain...

Name of Worksheet into cell
Published (2008-12-01 13:19:00)
If there are multiple Worksheets and I add the formula to a cell then all the sheets(that have the formula) will have the same name as the sheet that the formula was just added to. If I goto another sheet it also has the previous sheet name until I repaste the formula into it's cell.  Now all the other sheets change to that sheets name.  I was wanting to have a cell on each sheet to have it's...

I have a Word document linked to an Access query for mailmerge purposes. My problem is that when I "Merge to new document" the dates in the letter are in U.S. format and not UK format e.g. 11/18/2008 instead of 18/11/2008. I have checked the Language settings in Word and English UK is selected, I have checked the query and it appears OK in there (correct format). Any ideas anyone?

Hi All, When you insert a caption, and you want the Figure number to be labeled "Chapter number.Figure number" automatically (I.e. Figure 4.2), you need to have your Chapter title (Heading 1 style) as a numbered list so it knows which chapter you are in. I was wondering if there is a work-around for this so I do no have to number my chapter title and still have it automatically numbered as "...

I am trying to use the countif function for a column to determine how many cells are between 0-3, 4-7, 8 and above (for example) I would like to use one countif function to be able to say =countif(t2:t256, [0-3] ) for each of the number ranges but don't know how to format it. Can I just say =countif(t2:t256, > 8) for over a value of 8? I am working with Excel 2007.

I use this formula: - =COUNTIF('Games'!C1:C46,"Europe ") But the end cell number changes based upon it being the last empty cell, calculated from this formula: - =MATCH("Y",'Games'!F:F,0)-1 This formula reports the row number in column F with a Y in it and returns the value -1. Hence the last empty cell. What I want to do is substitute the value generated from the second formula with the ...
