move mail from "sent"...
Published (2009-11-05 05:47:00)
I'm with Dr Pink on this. I have no problem with Sent being a view, but if I want to use folders to classify messages then I want to make sure that the relevant Sent items are also in those folders. Yes, I can copy an email to a folder when I send it, but what if I forget? Looking at the Sent view gives me no help in figuring out which Sent items remain to be classified. By contrast, Outlook enables me to move items out of the Sent...

Published (2009-11-05 12:49:00)
Where folders are created, I found the easiest way to do this is; close the Mail tab then re-open it. The newly opened tab will then reflect the current state of the db. Seems obvious now...

You're making a mistake on the functionality. The Sent folder is not a folder, it is a view. A view in Notes lists all documents that correspond to a given criteria defined by design - in the case of the Sent view, it lists all documents that have been sent. Deleting a document from a view effectively deletes it from the database. A folder is a different design functionality. A folder holds all...

You need to post this question in the Domino forum. This forum is more the development side of Notes, and your question pertains to the administrative part. Pascal. I've got nothing to hide, and I'd very much like to keep that away from prying eyes.

I found now how to search for text in files in e-mails, and it is simple, if you know. Like, write '[$file] contains a or e or i or u' in the search bar and lotus will return all e-mails which contain attachments with these characters. However, it does not recognize pdf and jpg files. Any idea how to search for e-mails with pdf attachments? Thanks.
