I think I spoke too soon - I now no longer get the "cannot save rejected email anywhere" when I do the > sendmail -bv postmaster command - but when crontab runs the daemon user doesn't get the email, so I see the message on my console, and I see the undelivered mail in the mqueue. This is just so frustrating - no wonder email is such an easy way to compromise a system, you need a PHD just to be able to configure the stupid...

Two thoughts. If you have smarthost set in sendmail.cf that could be one cause for all mail going there. If you use it, what do you have set in your /etc/mail/access file? This controls what gets sent to where as far as relaying goes. I suspect you have an internal domain name that appears in the email messages that cannot be delivered. Take a look at: http://www.sendmail.org/m4/anti_spam.html

hi the storage admin gave you additional 50G , which should be detected as hdsik3 once you execute "cfgmgr" . execute these  commands to add the 50GB to /data filesystem: #cfgmgr #extendvg  -f datavg hdisk3 #chfs –a size=+50G  /data

Hello all!! My EVA5000 disk status was defined with AIX 5300-11 and hsv110 driver. - AIX 5300-08 + hsv110.rte 3.2.0.0 + hp_fibreutils.com 1.1.0.0 = hdiskX available OK - AIX 5300-11 + hsv110.rte 3.2.0.0 + hp_fibreutils.com 1.1.0.0= hdiskX defined BAD Someone knows if there's some incompatibility between HP filesets and AIX 5300-11?

ok, this isn't a technical question and I really don't want it to turn into a flamewar but i'm curious.. have any of you noticed what seems like a drop in the quality of service from IBM's software support? I've always had the occasional issues.. fighting through level 1 guys... working through the "you should upgrade" generic response etc etc but lately some of my PMR's have really begun to frustrate...

That time is in unix epoch format. I dont have a script handy to convert it, but a quick google should help you find converters and/or scripts to do it. Add a little color to your PUTTY terminal: FAQ52-6627: Color ls script
