Hi Is there any way you can limit the amount of phones that can be in DND?? In a company with 25 users who are regularly away from their desks working different shifts they would like only 15 people at a time to be able to be in DND so that there are always 10 calls getting through to people at a time Is this in any way possible?

We recently moved from a Merlin system to an Avaya IP Office 500 and I am trying to find out how to program a button to transfer directly to voice mail using the fewest buttons possible. The closest I can get is [Trnsfr] + [#] + [ext. number]. This means I need to hit two buttons before starting the extension number. Good old Merly let me hit a button called [Voice Mail Transfer] + [ext. number...

Quick question that I can't seem to find any help on. I have two sites connected through a vpn. IP406 Site 1 (main) .1 subnet Phone sys .42 subnet remote site .2 We have a mix of Digital and IP phones at the main site, all working wonderfully. (Ip phones are 192.168.42.xxx) The VPN is established and working well. My question is, should the IP phone at the remote site be on that local ...

We have an IP500 system and we currently have an employee working from home. This employee lives in a city in which calling her is a long distance call. To dial long distance an authorization code is required by our carrier, Paetec, which is the way we want it. The issue is that when the calls are tranfered to her phone, the caller is instructed to enter an authorization code. We have tried...

We have a 4_1_15 IP500 with a PRI and 4 analog trunks available. If the PRI goes down we would like to fail over to the 4 analog trunks then restore to T1 when it comes back in service. Is this an alternate route? Using ARS? Any good docs or how to's that could help? Or at least a short summary to get me started. Thanks so much!

VPN phone registers to IP Office in the 192.168.254 subnet via a Cisco PIX firewall. Cisco PIX hands VPN phone an IP address in the 172.23.10 subnet. Call between extensions completes successfully with full talkpath. Call over the SIP trunk results in one-way talkpath, in that the VPN phone can hear the called party but the called party cannot hear the VPN phone. Oh, and the display is ...

Just need some enlightenment.. In older version of IP Office and VM Pro.. In order to have outcalling to work you needed the following set up. 1. Under source tab for user the target number(Pxxxxxxx) 2. In VM Pro you had to set up a call back for the USER. Pretty simple, Except user could not turn it on and off easily. They would have to have system admin do it for them out have access to ...

I have two sites with IP400 V2 and 2 kentrox q2300 routers and both sites can call each other through extensions. I have added a new site but with IP500 4.2 professional with a VCM module and a kentrox q2300 router. I set up the kentrox and cannot call the other sites. my question is....does the new IP500 require a SCN license for this to work? Thanks!

I have a provider that is requiring all of my telephone extensions outpulse DID information. They say that I must outpulse the information and must set the privacy bit so that the call ultimately gets to the destination as private/restricted. I have IPO 500 running 4.1.15 on a PRI. I have incoming call routes for all my extensions that have DID's however all the extensions that do not have ...

Hi, I am having problems getting the SMTP emailing to work on Embedded VM. On a VM PRO it works with no problems. I assume it has something to do with IP Route's, but I can't figure it out... Any assistance much appreciated. IP 500 R4.2(4), VM PRO 4.2 (19) TIA

Working with version 4.2.4 I just discovered that the IPO manager applicatie responds to DHCP requests!. I used Wireshark to confirm it. As soon as I unmarked the Bootp/TFTP in the preferences the problem was gone. It might have been in older versions too because the last few weeks we had strange problems with a number of PC's. They were not able to login. The manager should never offer DHCP ...
