The message you see is generated when the boot environment has reverted to DOS/Win9x. I can think of these scenarios where this might happen: - You have a floppy disk formatted under Win9x in your disk drive. - You booted the machine with a Win98 CD and commenced the installation process. - You are attempting to boot from a hard disk other than your WinXP disk. - You have several partitions on your disk and something changed the active...

I'm pretty sure this is a known issue but the MS support site and the
internet have not provided an answer.
A couple of computers on our network keep wanting to install the following:
Update for Root Certificates [September 2009] (KB931125)
Checking our server the release date for this specific update is Sept. 22,
2009.
Both PCs are XP Pro with one running IE 7 the other IE 8.

I got a HP officejet J3600 and connected it with my phone cable. When
I get a phone call the officejet device keeps ringing for 15mins or so
(as if a fax is being received). I thought it should only do when a
fax is received, not for any phone call. I guess I might not have
installed something properly. A quick search on Google or the manual
does not reveal anything
Any suggestions would...

My XP Pro system won't boot after I installed some applications.
It won't boot to safe mode. (After the Windows boot screen it shows
a "DOS" list of dll files in System32 and the system hangs there.)
I heard of various methods to recover XP Pro but I don't want to
lose data or applications.
What's the best approach to take?

I have a friend who has a Packard Bell. He has no XP CD and he got some
guy to install a pirated version of XP. There is a Product Key sticker
on the side of the case (it's a desktop, Pent 4). Will that product key
work with a generic OEM Home CD?
Thanks,

It's like this you cock sucking son of bitches:
C:\Download
Every PC in the world needs it.
And then you simpy make:
C:\Download\Tools
or
C:\Download\Applications
and
C:\Download\Games
C:\Download\Drivers
etc.
Then you give website developers an option to tell you what kind of junk it
is that you downloading
so it automatically goes to the correct folder.
