Tim thank you. I have been looking around and trying to learn as much as I can. There was a file I deleted on my computer two days ago that I think scanned for my Norton/Symantec for some add on. The metadata part in simple was strangely open and I could have put info in there. It was not a music or video file. I don't have it, and this is not the first time I'v seen that. I do think that in some professional recording studios or...

I am on version 11.05721.5268 using windows 95. I was able to rip & burn CDs until yesterday. Now, each time I try, and I've tried several different CDs, I get an error but no error code or description of error. I've tried removing items from library thinking it is a size limitation, but that doesn't work. I've also tried rebooting several times. I've created a different library, and that doesn't work....

o.s: xp pro (media center 2002) problem: album art is often (but not always) wrong. for example, when in library view, with album art displayed, the art is sometimes wrong. switching to 'now playing', the album art is correct. checking the a.t. editor (pictures tab) shows the correct art for all songs in the album/cd. the same 'wrong' art often shows up for many different albums. i have all my music lumped together in the...

Windows Media 11 - Song Count
Published (2009-11-21 18:20:00)
Okay, I used to have WMP 10. Love that version. In it, it would display the number of songs listed individually in your library. Where is that feature or similar feature in WMP 11? How can I find out within the library how many songs I have? Thanks.

Can you explain in more detail what a best shot is - some sort of golf
game or something ? It's not obvious what you're talking about yet ;-)

Shuffle mode is probably enabled. Press Ctrl+H to disable it.
Alternatively, you can use the button with the 2 overlapping arrows,
near the Play-button.

As usual, Andrew's advice is pretty useless and can be safely ignored :p
Playlists are plain text files, so you can open them with Notepad or
your favorite text editor. There, you can perform a simple search and
replace operation, to replace all old file locations with their newer
equivalents.

Are you sure that WMP simply didn't update the album info of the
disappearing tracks, and that they got listed under a different album
title/artist?
Folder view (in the tree on the left) might be useful to verify this. If
you don't see an item called Folder in this tree, you need to enable
it by right-clicking a tree item, selecting Customize navigation pane,
and enabling Folder, under ...

the situation. Google shark007 and download Win7codecs_v215.exe. Using this

control!!! Directshow filter manager works once again.
I use winamp and have been very frustrated with the inability to change the

As you've noticed, a DVD disk is about 12.5 cm and your iPhone only
about 5 x 12cm so there's not enough space for a DVD drive too....

Media Player doesn't support it and wee cannot recommend any program as it
may violate copyright restrictions.
If the functionality exists, it will be in third party software and you'll
need to search the internet or hope that some helpful person can give you
examples that they're familiar and happy with.

WMP stores the album art that is shown in the library as JPG files in
the same folder as the music files. You may want to check these JPG
files, especially
AlbumArt_{00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}_L arge.jpg and
AlbumArt_{00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}_S mall.jpg could be
causing the problem you're having. These files will be hidden, so you
will need to make sure Explorer is ...

Hi guys, I tried to select analogue reproduction in WMP12, since my old cdrom
(Plextor scsi) doesn't support digital reproductions, but the option appears
*ghost*.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance.
