Many low quality PSU's have a one year warranty and many Mobo's and CPU's have 3 yrs. Any reliable shop owner can "work around" your problem if they want to put in the effort.

In a server environment it's used to check and correct memory reads/writes, but the process slows the read/write speed considerably.

we always recommend buying the case and psu as separate items pre built systems unless the components are specified are built to a price not quality and the first component cut back on is the psu and a generic tossed in

The PSU should have a label on it. It may be where you can't see it without removing it from the case.

Sorry, I have another question. I'm just curious how 2 x 2 gigs work better than 4 x 1 gigs? Would i get some incompatibility or errors in case i run the 4 x 1? If its just the performance, how bad would it be? Would i get improved performance from 2 x 1 to 4 x 1?

It is most likely that the memory itself is bad. Try running with only one stick, and repeat this with each stick. You should also run the Windows Memory Diagnostic on each stick when you try it.

Requiring that you have a surge protector for your warranty to be in effect is a sh***y thing to do; however if you signed the warranty agreement then you de jure agreed to the terms, whether you read them or not. If you didn't sign anything then you might have a chance. Not much of one, unless you feel like taking it to court, but some chance. You might also see if you can take advantage of ...

You need a GOOD quality minimum 650W. I would prefer a 750W. CORSAIR 750TX $110 the 650 is only $10 cheaper. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139 006 Edit: For some reason, all the Newegg links posted today seem to go to Neweggs home page instead of directly to the linked product?

Hi and welcome. Could you please provide the model number off of the Hynix memory sticks? I found the QLV for this specific board; it seems to be a little finicky on it's RAM. Thanks!

As long as your OS is 64 bit it will recognize that much. The problem is in mixing ram modules, that can be quite dodgy. Being the same manufacturer and timings give better odds of it working, though there is more to it. Would help if both kits are rated for the same max voltage, often the vdimm (ram voltage) needs to be raised when running four sticks, if one kit is 1.8v. and the other 2.1v...
