Published (2008-11-27 00:57:34)
I use vista and just downloaded on nov 26, 2008 the latest IE beta. After installing I tried to start it. It popped up for a few seconds and closed. I kept trying and somehow got a message that a program was closing it due to unsafe memory usage or something like that. Is anyone familiar with this problem and can anyone advise me. Should I uninstall and then hope to reinstall former IE version? Thanks so much.

how much ram is on your computer and how much free space on the harddrive? IMO, you should uninstall it since it is beta and will have bugs.

Hello, I just got a Lenovo Ideapad S10 with XP. The first thing I did was install Firefox, as well as flash player directly from Adobe. Then I got to work uninstalling Norton Internet Security using the Add/Remove Programs tool in the Control Panel. Since uninstalling Norton I am unable to use IE7. It will say that it is unable to load the web page and when I try to refresh, all that appears...

Hi Yankeeno7, Download Ccleaner, and clean up your internet cookies and temporary Internet Files. It may be something hidden in there, thats stopping your access. If that fails It could be a problem with your Internet provider. Who is your provider ?

Welcome to TSF Sometimes IE7 wont play nice on some computers. Not sure exactly why, IMO I feel there are missing.corrupt system files. When you revert back to IE6 does it open properly? Run the System File Checker Go to the Run box on the Start Menu and type in: sfc /scannow ( sfc if not reconized) (Note that there is a space between sfc and /scannow) This ...

Hi. I'm writing this question on behalf of my mom. She's using Vista w/ IE7 on an approx. 6 mo. old HP desktop. Occasionally upon starting IE7, the program will just constantly open up new IE7 windows. I've read some older posts about IE7 opening up in 2 windows, or 2 tabs at once, but this isn't the case here. Within a few seconds there will be 50 or 60 separate IE windows open in the taskbar, ...
