I know I had digitizer problems with my TYTN 1.
This was due to the border of the faceplate touching the outer edges of the screen.
The sliding mechanism worked well for me once I remembered to slide it open properly with both hands (not the casual way you'd use with a sidekick. I loved the ribbon design, so I have
no comments on it.

I use
tom-tom and Garmin, doubt those would work in Jamaica. I don't think you can get detail digital maps yet of Jamaica on your phone.

The specs I saw online are for 1.6Gig and no options for any other so you might be dealing with a bios or power limitation. Depending on the amount of RAM installed now a better upgrade would be to simply max out your RAM and call it a day. It would be cheaper upgrade that trying a
hit or miss with a new processor. At any rate if it's at 1.6 now you probably wouldn't be able to move beyond 2.0 ...

It has to be special since blackberry cellpone devices are only sucessful do to the blackberry messenger and access to unlimited internet.
