Instability sometimes because the addons themselves sometimes haven't been updated. Last time my FF updated, I ran it and was lost, everything had moved from where it was, home, refresh, bookmarks etc, only cure was a reinstall. Opera has features and loads faster, but most are more comfortable with the fox.

The US Department of Justice (DOJ) has indicted eight individuals in what authorities claim to be a $9m (£5.37m) bank hacking operation. A federal grand jury based in Atlanta, Georgia issued the indictments after authorities presented evidence of the alleged breach at the Atlanta offices of Royal Bank of Scotland's RBS WorldPay branch. According to the DOJ, the group was able to compromise encryption protections to access data on a...

I had similar problems and found out I had something called Virut. Virut is an exe file which attaches itself to any exe file you try to install. hence you wont get rid of it like that. download a virut remover from avg, save to a thumb drive, format the hard drive and install wndows. scan your hard drinve and all programs you have saved before you install them. that should solve your problem, it solved min

Why bother with 3.5.1 when 3.5.5 is out? Even 3.6 beta is out.

The first worm to infect the Apple iPhone has been discovered spreading "in the wild" in Australia. The self-propagating program changes the phone's wallpaper to a picture of 80s singer Rick Astley with the message "ikee is never going to give you up". The worm, known as ikee, only affects "jail-broken" phones, where a user has removed Apple's protection mechanisms to allow...

You have a firewall? You have an updated anti-virus? Do a scan and see if anything is there. There are some folders in the program files folder that cannot be deleted. Like the 'xerox' folder. Seems XP is protecting these folders from being deleted. Can do a google search on them and see the various discussions. But it's not a virus regarding those folders.
