I have a system that also has the problem of not connecting to the internet. The system does not have any other browser. I tried clearing the history. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the NIC. There is network connectivity as I can connect to shares through the run box. Any suggestions will be appreciated

Firefox 3.04 does work for me. I can log into Hotmail and actually delete my spam without the browser crashing... which I can't do in IE 7.0.5730.11 That said, there are others that have had Firefox 3.04 crash on them as well in Hotmail.
