    Actually, when it gave me error first time, some sql n visual components were installed during installation.   now i uninstalled everything from my laptop even reinstalled IIS for SSRS, but when i m installing again it gives me same error sql.cab corrupt file..     regards, Kaumil Kaumil Gandhi

I thought I'd go ahead and uninstall everything including MSXML 4.0, MSXML 4.0 Hotfix and MSXML 6.0 and I backed up and deleted the 'Products' registry key prior to installing. Luc, Vidhya had asked you to post the contents of errorlog and not masterlog.ldf. Masterlog.ldf is a database log file of master database. The error in your case is that the SQL Service account under which your SQL Server is running does NOT have modify permissions to access the path, C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL directories.
