Custom GINAs are way outside this newsgroup's charter. And since I have a good friend who has written both custom GINAs and now custom Providers (Vista/Win7/2k8), I can assure you that there are lots of possible problem areas where there are "features" that can cause issues. You really need to take questions around GINAs to one of the MSDN forums. -- Charlie. http://msmvps.com/blogs/russel "abhinav...

This is a very old thread, and it's on a newsgroup, not some "forum". That being said, if you got the copy of Vista as an OEM version from HP, then your only answer is to buy the 32-bit version, since the OEM version is bit-specific. If you have a retail version of the software, you can order the alternate disk from Microsoft. If you have to buy a version, I strongly suggest getting Win7....

At this point in time, there really isn't much reason to run the 64-bit version, unless you want a browser that doesn't run various addons like flash, etc. Which is why the 32-bit is the default. At some point in the future, I expect we'll be at a point where 64-bit is everywhere and there's full support for 64-bit browswers, but that time isn't yet. -- Charlie. http://msmvps.com/...
