Game compatibility issues with...
Published (2009-12-05 07:42:00)
I have ran some new games in Windows 7 and luckily I am not facing any problem. You have not mentioned the game that is not working. Please mention the game so that we can check the compatibility of that game. Mostly the games working on Windows XP are running smoothly on Windows 7. Since the Windows 7 is Beta version of OS, there are some problems but they can be solved.

Game compatibility issues with...

I have installed games like Counter-Strike, World of Warcraft, NFS - Carbon, etc. I am facing any issue though I am using Windows 7. Many times the settings are to be done in the game mode. Try to disable by unchecking the box located in preference option. After unchecking the game full screen you will able to play the games in full screen. It will surely work fine. According to me there is no issue in Windows 7 like the Windows Vista had.

Sims 3 crashing on Windows 7 RC
Published (2009-12-05 07:41:00)
Try to re-install Sims 3 again. The issue can be because Sims 3 was not installed properly. When I installed Windows Warfare 2 on my HP Compaq desktop I too had the same issue although I had the required graphical support of a nVidia 1 GB graphic card . I then re-installed the game and this worked for me. Make sure that the re-installation of Sims 3 is complete with no errors and delete the existing Sims 3 instance.

Try the GeForce 8800 512 MB nVidia graphic card . I am using this one currently and having no issues with any games yet. The reason for which your Sims 3 seems to be crashing might indeed be your graphic card. Install some other games which has similar requirements to Sims 3 and see if even that game is crashing. If it does I feel you need to install a compatible graphic card to support Sims 3 and other such games.

Game compatibility issues with...
Published (2009-12-05 07:42:00)
There are some issues on the Windows 7 whose built is before 7122. The latest built is 7122, in which majority of game issues has been solved. You can also change the compatibility mode of Windows XP on all games. It will also work properly with Windows 7. Even your screen problem can be resolved by this process. Also check the Game Requirement before installing it. Post the games that are not working.

As you said that it was working smoothly without stammering until you reinstalled it. So may be your bootable cd of XP would be having some problem. Have you tried it with some other operating system ? Or simple thing you can do is try some other cd of the same operating system as sometime these cd becomes corrupted or some features suddenly stops working like it was working before. This may happen some time because of pirated OS also.

GTA4 installation problem with...
Published (2009-11-27 02:11:00)
I have bought the download version of GTA4 from D2D. I initially got an error message to say that the game was not compatible with Windows 7 so used the compatability wizard which at least lets me start the installation process. The problems arrive when the windows installer asks for a disc change? This is the download version! The installer asks me to confirm the path to presumably disk 2. The path on the windows installer defaults to...

Probably the disc is not getting read properly. You need to clean the game disc. Make use of a disc-cleaning kit . Another way to clean the disc is use a lint-free-soft cloth of cotton to clean the silver portion gently. I would suggest you to get a disc cleaning solution to clean the disc. And then insert the disc again to install the game.

The issue could be with your graphic card. Turn off your system and open the cabinet , try to unplug the graphic card from your mother board . May be that the graphic card has loosened from its socket or there may be dust-dirt that got collected on it. Clean the slot and plug the graphic card back in carefully and making sure that it is not loose. Now see it your getting the control ...

In my opinion you should re-install Windows 7 RC . This Windows 7 being a RC i.e Release Candidate which is released way before the final version being released to gather the inputs and feedback from the users to improve the final version, there are issues which usually appear in such condition. If the re-installation does not works then try installing Windows 7 RC from another bootable ...

As with any other curious StarCraft game lover I am also looking forward for the release of StarCraft 2 . But from the recent news from Activision Blizzard on this game, it is believed to be released in the middle of next year- 2010 , though the date is yet not confirmed. It is being as a real time military strategy game .

From your description it seems that reinstalling Windows would probably solve your lagging problem in GTA IV . Take the backup of all the required data on your hard drive. Then go for the reinstalling the Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium . After that you can install GTA IV. The present Windows might be missing on some files and hence re-installation should fix the problem.

Same thing happened to me, but that was on my first play through & it didn't freeze, i beat it three times & it's A-OK. There was nothing wrong with my PS3 or any of my saves i guess on some of the early releases of MGS4 the online mode was glitched. i hope this helps other people with the same problem.

My advice to you is to completely upgrade your current system specifications. also use a graphic card of about 512 M B. This will not only help you to play Empires of Steel but also other high graphics PC games in future. If you're going to redownload to fix something (for a fresh start) make sure you delete all game files left over in steam applications before you do. One option is to turn the detail down to the lowest level until you're past that guy in the corridor, as it seems to be something to do with the dead civilian models. You can try to re-install the game once again. But before you re-install, un-install the current game data and then only go ahead and re-install the game. I have the same problem with GTA 4 where it would load and then hang after about a two three minutes. I also did the re-installation process and it worked good for me. Hope the same works with you.

Don't use the registry cleaner function, as cleaning the registry can actually be more harmful than good. World at War is the World War II magazine for wargamers, featuring a complete game in every issue. I usually clear it every now and then, and the only problems it comes up with is stuff from uninstalled software.

Before you begin troubleshooting please make sure you have the most recent Games for Windows LIVE version installed. According to me you need to downloaded a patch and also you need to have the latest ATI and AMD CPU drivers been installed on your system.
