Install OpenSUSE on eeePC
Published (2009-11-07 04:36:00)
yes it is possible, but not as your eeePC has no optical driver you will have to make a live-usb and the boot from usb device. Then install OpenSUSE on your eeePC. Also make sure your USB ports are working and your usb drive is usb 2.0... Hope this helps...

Install OpenSUSE on eeePC
Published (2009-11-07 04:36:00)
The Eee PC does not have a conventional hard drive, but a solid-state drive which has a finite number of write cycles. So far nobody seems to know how long the built-in SSD will last, but to be on the safe side you should take care to reduce unnecessary writes to the internal disk. This means: * no swap partition * mounting the partition(s) on the SSD with the option "noatime" set. Usually, whenever you read a file on disk,...

Verify if the service for backup of Windows is running and check if it is set to "Manual". If no, then change it to manual and click on start to start the Windows backup service. It can be stopped and restarted anytime. Now reboot your computer and see if Windows backup i running on your computer. I hope this helps!

Display problem After installing...
Published (2009-11-07 04:35:00)
After installing openSUSE 11.0, you will find your Eee PC 901 does not display a significant portion (28%) of the bottom of the screen. The reason this happens is because by default the screen resolution is set to 1024 x 768, and the screen's native resolution is 1024 x 600, so you will not be able to see or use the bottom 168 pixels. This can be particularly difficult, because by default the panel containing the application launcher,...

Try installing as administrator, or if the installation is done by the system (before login), make sure system has permission to create folders in this subfolder. A manual method of addressing the problem is to go to a level below the folder directory and assign Full Control Authenticated user and propagating subdirectory tree.

To open a mac mini it you just need a spatula, or a knife kind of device. About the upgrade, yes, you can put 1GB RAM in it but not more then 2GB, Be careful while doing so because it provides basic 2x512MB so that it will buy you 2x1GB of DDR2 667 small strips for laptops. Overall, the mini is a great little computer, as small and economical also a better choice over atom computers.

First of all, the main trick is to clear IE cache. The bigger it gets, the slower your browser becomes. An accelerator program will optimize new systems and older ones. Using a computer accelerator as an alternative to upgrading is a strong consumer decision. Most upgrades are going to cost a lot more than a software solution. All you have to do is go to Tools - Internet options - go to the ...
