Then you may want to wait for Office 2010 where Microsoft has made some
concessions for customizing the Ribbon, but the Ribbon is here to stay.
Indeed, other non-Microsoft programs are also adopting the Ribbon.

To add to what Peter said, Microsoft has traditionally given a Technology
Guarantee for people who purchase the prior Office suite within xx days of
the release of the new version. I don't recall the exact time but Microsoft
will make an announcement if they intend to do the same thing with this
release.
The Office 2010 release date is rumored to be summer of 2010 so I would not
worry...

The latest version of Office is 2007. Yes, there is a newer version being

I have an excel spreadsheet protected by IRM with my Passport ID. I have used
this document almost daily for a long time with no issues and today it says I
do not have access. How can a spreadsheet lose its credentials and is there
anyway for me to get them back? It asks if I want to request permission from
myself but when I click Yes it just opens an e-mail with my address in ...

I am downloading this version of Office to trial it while taking a class. I
already have the 2003 version and I'm not sure I will purchase the full 2007
package once my trial is over. If I uninstall the program once my trial is
over, will my pre-existing Office (2003) be available the same way it was
before?

I certainly have the Office 2000 disks. As indicated prior disc 2 has a
crack through it.
I uninstalled Office Professional 2003 and put in Disc #1 with Word, etc and
attempted to re-install
Office Professional 2003 and all I got was an error message saying that it
did not find a verification of the disc
I do not know anyone that has Office 2000.
I also have an upgrade copy of Office ...

"I am going to buy/purchase a new computer and do not wish to use the last

Since apparently this will be the third PC, unless scrapping one of the
other two, whats the purpose of the above?

Never mind what I wrote for the SB installation. My mistake since I did not read

I'm not sure if or how it could be done. I guess I'm having trouble
imagining *why* you would want to attach a .pdf file to every email you
send. That almost sounds like spam. (Sorry - I'm not trying to be mean.)
