yeah i considered the g13bb pistons as they have a slightly higher cr than the vitaras. but i am spending big money on my new motor so dont want any week links ( i know the vitaras are proven for 600hp in civics ). anyway bought them off stevegti2 so no turning back now.

that's correct. I would pull the pistons out and check them for cracks. I'm pretty positive you have a broken ringland somewhere.

I've got the Mallory 6AL & coil kit now, in the manual it says for best results to use non-resistor spark plugs. What do you guys think of that?

Always wondered; can a properly build & tuned g16b make that much power?

for a slightly higher CR than vitaras you could get 1.3L SOHC 16v pistons. There is also the honda civic option, I don't know what engine code to get tho.

If they are forged they should be able to handle what ever you throw at them. That is if you have no detonation and are tuned right. If they are cast ones just go with some ebay vitaras. It all depends on how deep your wallet is and how much power your running. Ive herd these pistons take 300-400hp all day. Thanks Stephen

start with rebuilding the bottom end...it will use oil now and thats not healthy for a turbo engine! Next search, it was done very well by a member here who really explained his process well. The kit may still be for sale for a very good price.
