I killed my ignition by breaking off the key deep inside of it Told the locksmith to drill it out and he did for only $30. Now I've either got to source out a junk yard ignition or piece together a push-button start. anyone have any success with any of the kits available? Thanks, Scott

The GT & the GTi are actually the same car - when Suzuki called the Swift a GTi, Volkswagen started to make legal noises and Suzuki dropped the i to shut them up, so in the US it's a GT, and every where else it's a GTI. Go to RockAuto.com and find your car - '90 Suzuki Swift GT and then find the brakes and you'll see both types of pad shown (or at least, two different types) and you can order them there.

Got my engine back (Rallycar)
Published (2009-11-02 07:46:00)
Thanks for the info. I had no time to test the tyres so the first stage was the tester!! The car slid all over the place until I scubbed off some rubber and gained soem heat.....then the car stuck like flies on a fly paper. We were kicking ass in N2 with 4th in class until the 5th stage when a strange power loss kicked in. The engine felt like it was running lean as the exhaust was running so hot we were cooking in the car. We finished the...

Crankshaft timing belt pulley...
Published (2009-11-05 20:56:00)
What I do when I have to take the timing belt pulley bolt out is, take out one of the spark plugs and pour water into the engine, and then put the plug back in. That way the engine hydrolocks and stops it from spinning. Then just use a breaker bar. When your all done take the spark plug out and turn the engine over a cuple of times to let the water out.

Damnit, well now i've gone and done it... I went out and hit it with WD-40 again, made sure the wrench was on square and everything, and gave it another crank. "Pop!" I'm temporarily filled with glee as i envision the ease with which i will be removing this bolt now... To my dismay, the bolt has completely rounded off. With the crank locked with a screwdriver on the flywheel teeth, i can ...

You could make one with a few relays. I suggest that you have a few switches and a push start button. You'll need a switch to turn all your systems on for one. Then, you'll need a button to turn the car over. Done. There is probably a fancier way, but a few relays and a few switches'll be like $20. A good location to find relays is the pick n part place.

Hi, i'm new to the forum but just changed my oil and fit about 4 quarts into my 1.3 twin cam motor. I started with 3, checked the dip-stick then added .5 checked the stick, then .5 again to just about right. Not sure on the auto trans, I've got a manual. As for what type I use cheap 10w 30 and change it often. I also use a little lucas oil treatment for good measure. cheers, Scott
