I did a search and couldn't find where anyone had mentioned this. Check it, sounds great, a lot of fun to screw around with: http://www.solid-state-logic.com/Special/halloween .asp Sounds great on spoken vox but I also threw it on a drum buss and as a send and got some cool craziness going on! _________________ My pessimism extends to the point of even suspecting the sincerity of ...

Hello. Long time fan of this messageboard. Usually I can find answers to my questions already posted, but not this time. I may have a chance to buy a used Tascam MX-2424 for around $8-900 and have some questions about it. I noticed on the Tascam website that they stopped support for it before the new Intel macs came out, so I'm wondering if MX View will work with my computer (via ethernet I'm ...

Hello, So...a friend graciously bought me a SeaGate Free Agent external HD. However, he bought the version that was for windows, rather than Mac OS X, which is what my macbook pro runs. Anyway, I was told that I could actually really simply reformat the drive to be compatible with my mac, and found out that I can do it through the disk utility tool. However, there are a couple of ...

So, who out there is rocking Ardour? I have been following its development for years but just recently has it seemed worthy of putting to serious use. I understand there is even a way to compile it yourself with VST support! Who is using it? Let me know your experiences. Here is a link for those of you who are like, huh? http://ardour.org/ _________________ http://www.idigtubes.com

Hello, So, I first started off with an lexicon omega unit. It had two XLR inputs, and really got the job done for what I was doing at that point. However, always need more, so now I'm looking to get a firewire audio interface type unit for myself and friends for our home studio. We were looking at this: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/FireStuProj / However, just wanted to...

I'm about to build my computer today and I was wondering what software I should look into that's not music recording related. For example, I will have an internet connection so anti-spyware, anti-malware. Maybe some optimizing registry software or something. Just wondering what you might have learned from your experience as home-studio owners. Thanks a bunch! _________________ ~...

Hi all, What are everyone's favourite vocal compressors ITB? I know these things differ from voice to voice but there are always go-to things for broad applications in my experience. I use the sonalksis comp on a lot of things but it can be difficult to control at times. I'm in Logic so any TDM/RTAS stuff is not applicable to me, but go ahead and talk about those too, I guess. What ...
