What program did you rip with? I would suggest playing the suspect files back directly via your computer, bypassing the Roku (ideally using headphones), and see if
the hiss is still there. If so, the problem lies in the ripping. The ripping process shouldn't be adding extraneous noise, but I suppose a technical or software glitch could be the culprit. Personally, I rip to FLAC using EAC or ...
