I have both sytems and Roku's wired.  I even tried ripping on a different compter to the network music folder to rule out CD-ROM or computer and I still get the buzzing.  It should be pretty much dead silent from one track to the next, correct?  It happens on many CD's and I think I've ruled out everything except trying wireless to rule out the home wiring.  After...

What program did you rip with? I would suggest playing the suspect files back directly via your computer, bypassing the Roku (ideally using headphones), and see if the hiss is still there. If so, the problem lies in the ripping. The ripping process shouldn't be adding extraneous noise, but I suppose a technical or software glitch could be the culprit. Personally, I rip to FLAC using EAC or ...

Yep, and quite a few "modders" are already offering additional $$$ upgrades! Of note, the (mid-fi focused) site Audioholics just tested the new SE version, and found some anomalies in it's bass management, which they feel needs to be addressed by Oppo... http://www.audioholics.com/reviews/transports/high -definition-dvd-players-hd-dvd-blu-ray/oppo-bdp-83 se I'm using the original BDP-83, ...

Wow! What an incredible performance this was... musically, artistically, and athletically! I was physically worn out from just watching, and can only imagine the conditioning and training this troupe endures. They totally blew the (apparent full house) crowd away. We had seats off to the far side, and I was worried we'd be sitting in a bass node, but the acoustics were absolutely superb. I ...

Very interesting Alan. I have been reading about RoomEQ Wizard and a new one, to me, named ARC system which runs as a VST plugin on your PC multimedia player of choice. I am going to pick up another ECM8000 mic and compare what these two have to say about my room. then I'll have to invite you over to see what the XTZ says. I did some reading here regarding EQ vs. Room treatment (seems like ...
