Still no sound after installing...

Got so frustrated with everything, I just deleted the movie without watching it! But the funny thing is, it does not affect other movies except the one I deleted. Why is that?

WMP 11 Video Settings
Published (2009-11-12 18:51:00)
I would suggest using alternative players for DVD playback if you need to adjust brightness/contrast/saturation etc. Normally I use MEdia player Classic/Cinema for all video playback and Jet Audio/WMP for audio. Likely need to purchase a 3rd party enhancement plugin or MPEG2 decoder to enhance DVD playback. The InterVideo DVD XPack is pretty good.

QUOTE (meister @ Nov 8 2009, 04:54 PM) cool edit pro The clarity usually suffers on such a conversion. I would generally aim for 192kbps and try for a lower sample rate, especially when networking the stream.

Hi, i have a number of films that i have encoded from MKV to MPG using MKV2vob, the majority play fine from my pc (spdiff output) to the amplifier, but some have hardcoded PCM codec in them, i have tried many codecs AC3 etc and cant seem to get them to play directly via the pc, if i play them via a HDMI cable (i.e) PS3 the sound is fine. My question is, is there a codec that will combat the PCM encoding, or is there a unit that can connect...

Thanks for your reply... appreciate it! My only problem is with Windows Media Player. Other media players (vlc, media player classic etc) works fine and I can adjust video settings well within the player itself. I reckon it could be a WMP bug. I tried almost all know dvd/video decoders including those you mentioned to no avail. Right you are if you adjust the video settings via the ...

Why? You files will only get bigger. The quality won't become any better. You need a high quality input file for 320kps to be useful.

You can use both. Just don't use MPC to play RealMedia files, use RealPlayer for that. Everything else will work fine. The Mega pack also contains Real Alternative. So if you want to use RealPlayer, you must deselect Real Alternative during the installation of the Mega pack. You should not install both RealPlayer and Real Alternative at the same time.

Usually indicates bug in programming or not properly installed program.Sounds like something is corrupted. Got latest WMP and windows updates? Make sure you update DVD player software or your MPEG2 decoder that you are using. Hopefully not the copy protection or macrovision that is causing your woes. Otherwise, use your standalone DVD player.
