What do you look out for? When that person says I love you to you? then you know you're in a relationship? I find that that's not a very good bar to base this on... I think a couple's in a relationship when they start confiding their thoughts and emotions to each other... true?

I personally think its not so much of wanting to be alone but rather fear of rejection which prevents most from giving it a shot? I am really sorry to hear about your loss. No matter what people might say or do to make you feel better, the sadness would always be there. Cry all you want. Just don't forget to stay strong. It would take a while for time to heal a bit of the pain but only you can find the strength within yourself to move on with life and hope sincerely that your bf is in a better place now.

She is more to stubborn this way.. Maybe it is because after what she just said, if she later goes into a relationship, she would be doing the contradict of what she said, so to save her "face", she would not get into a relationship again.
