I hate to damn the guy before he even takes the field, but I have to agree with everything that Mudge has said. The silver lining is that he didn't get a Lugo or Renteria-sized deal. Two years is not a long time at all. I was hoping for Adam Everett.... less of a bat, but you knew the defense would be solid, less money, and no loss of a draft pick. Anyways, best of luck Marco. You sure are going to have the spotlight on you.

If he's their short term answer, it's a fine deal IMO, if it's a long term thing, yeah that would be bad. As it is 2 years isn't a long contract at all, and gives the young guys just enough time to develop.
