I do this every year around Halloween- it's a chance for new members to talk about their favorite horror flicks and old members to post about any new discoveries or old gems they've found. I've found a new favorite in an old 80's "campers being killed" style movie called The Burning. The IFC channel has been showing some great older indie horror movies this past year, and this was one of ...

This morning, I saw my cat do something that I have never seen before. It was absolutely bizarre. A little background 1st - she loves to kill stuff, and is very territorial. Whenever she's outside she's perpetually leaving dead moles, mice, chipmunks, whatever, even the odd squirrel or two on my doorstep. This morning she completely outdid herself. I let her out at about 6:30 am, and made some ...

Reviving the thread! Have you guys been lifting any weights recently? I have a small problem. I'm moving closer to the uni and need to pick a new gym. There's a basic weights room at the sports hall that's next to my apartment, but it's pretty poorly equipped and tends to be crowded. So my options would pretty much be either a good gym 15min walk away with a day-card (gym+girya/bodypump/...

There are also about 19 other sates in the US that can't pay for themselves. What's going to happen when they can't afford their police, teachers, fire depts. etc.? Will the Fed print up some more monopoly money for these states? The solution will be interesting.

Its a Very small (only 3" long) and its all wooden and I'd like to get it lit up as soon as i can. The inside of the bowl is wooden so would i need to use a gauze/screen in the bowl or can i use it as it is? Also, the only tobacco i have at the moment is a shag hand rolling cigarette tobacco so would this be all right until i can get some proper pipe tobacco? I would have put this on ...

Here's the problem, I have a wireless modem and for some reason about a week ago my computer gets the signal but there no is internet (limited connectivity) now there is no internet at all, even if I plug the modem straight to the network adapter so I ask my friend who lives next door if I could try his signal and it works like a charm even though the strength of it is only "fair"

NO no nononono, NOT which is "cooler" or "better". Which universe would conquer the other if they had to wage war? Try to keep the jokes to a minimum, too, and (as weird as it sounds) let's make this "scientific and fact based". In fact, maybe someone would want to make a SW/ST joke thread in addition. That would be cool!

Easy question for me. Hands down, the man: Doug Stanhope Yours? He actually has a joke about bass players thats pretty funny. Saying he should have played bass instead of doing comedy.

The issue iteself was pretty minor, but my 10-year-old flat out lied to me and my wife (her step-mom). 5 times we asked her the same question, and she looked stright at us and lied. Only when we presented her with evidence did she finally relent and tell the truth. There are other times when I've suspected that she was lying, but didn't have enough proof to really call her out. As...

I am a musician and music lover, but i have decided a while ago against listening to my ipod in public. I find that i would rather take in the sounds of whats going on around me rather than drown them out with music. This way i am getting the full sensory experience of reality, weather the sounds are good or bad. Also, something turns me off about the idea of EVERYONE wearing ipods. It seems...

And here we go again with ignorant, uninformed people proclaiming that other peoples' lifestyle choices are "wrong" or "stupid" just because they don't understand it, or why people choose to live it. I'm getting REALLY sick of posts like these, when we aren't allowed to do it to other lifestyles. Keep an open mind, open your ears and shut your mouths. I can almost assure you that I drink more ...
