How to talk to guitarists
Published (2009-12-03 19:37:00)
ahhhh.. that may change the course of the conversation lol... "You guys may wanna think about steppin up the gear, you know?" " You may wanna think about gettin a limo, dude!" yeah that conversation could get full of ego and lose track of the REAL issue quickly. Hopefully they're cool like that and not total asses that they'll throw that in ur face. But yea definitely guide them to some good...

So what can you put in a rack...
Published (2009-11-27 14:35:00)
Just about anything that you want can fit in there. I have two 4-space racks (one with power conditioner, preamp, compressor, tuner; the other with crossover and and my Samson 2800W amp). I used to have it all in an 8-space and that thing weighed a TON. I like this better because my smaller 4-space (the first one listed) is really light and all set up so that I can just use the DI to record - no need to lug around the rest of the heavy rig for...

I feel your pain, literally. I've had tendinitis in my left thumb for some
time. It comes and goes and it helps to stay off the computer since I tend
to use the mouse with both hands. I've also had tendinitis in my right hand
but in the little and ring finger and wrist. Both have kept me from playing
or at least cause me pain when I play. I've found that caffeine really
irritates it and makes it ...

Sounds great to me tone-wise, but your timing seems a bit shaky and
inconsistent in places. In order to sound really funky, your timing has to
be rock solid. Don't worry, though, practice makes perfect.

I play in 2 bands. 1 " house" band and 1 club/festival band. We use set list for both. Sometimes the order of songs for a given set may change slightly, and we may omit a song or add one. Usually the omitted ones are due: 1.) the singers ain't "feeling it" right then (i.e., he don't feel like he can hit certain parts of the songs, due to whatever reason), 2.) running into "our" break, etc. But we ...

All my purchases come from a small privately owned music store in my area. GC opened around here about 4 years ago. I was there once. Bought nothing.

This guy is definitely good at what he does, but I didn't really hear anything special. I didn't hear anything Billy Sheehan hasn't been doing for 20 yrs. Certainly nowhere near Vic Wooten caliber, and, to my ears, not terribly musical either. Fast, yes. Technical, sure. Not amazing at anything in particular though.

Which is why we decided "screw it, we'll do all the vocals ourselves" a few years ago. Rehearsals are considerably more enjoyable now.

Sure thing.
You could probably get them down to $440 plus a gig bag if you say you`ll pay in straight cash and that it`s all you got.

Where they left at Your mates house?
i would never leave My stuff at a mates house... Chances are 9/10 its going to get used, abused or not looked after the same way it will at your own house.
when i was in a band, our guitarist left his amp at another mates, and it was used as a shelf!
He should have asked you though!

Unless you actually threatened him in some way, Ebay can't and won't do anything to you. Unless the other guy actually won one of your auctions, he can't do anything through Ebay to you. However, if he saves that email and holds a grudge, and if he happens to encounter you on this or any other forum, he can post that email and maybe turn people against you.
Sometimes it's even "right" ...
