TheLostSwede wrote: Have you gone to one of the Senao stores? http://www.senao.com.tw/ They sell all kinds of phones and you can get them on a contract with CHT. You can get the N97 mini for NT$11,990 on the 383 talk plan plus mPro 950 (unlimited data service). My 850 unlimited dataplan comes with a built-in 383 talkplan. Is this not the case for the mPro 950? I never really understood what the difference between mPro 950 and plain 850 is. Is...

Ended up with the Samsung Galaxy. Just couldn't justify the current cost of the Acer Liquid. Only downside is the Galaxy is on 1.5 right now. I have not seen any Samsung promise for 1.6 or 2.0. But this phone can be free depending on your plan, its light and slim, and the screen is fantastic.

I'm surprised to see it for NT$7,000--surprised but pleased nonetheless. Pricing on US-based websites is around $200-225 at the lower end, which is much better than the NT$8,900 we saw it for in the camera store. I've never ordered anything from PC Home before. If I do decide to buy either of these cameras from PC Home, is it pretty straight forward? Is the site a collection of online stores, or is it one store? Do they have a good...

Iphone or New HTC Phone???

Does CHT have a good promotion with HTC? Because as far as I can tell they don't and the iPhone 3G promotion has a really good plan. If you insist on getting the HTC I suggest that you sign up for the iPhone package and sell the iPhone to somebody who wants it and use the proceeds to buy the HTC. The iPhone 1349 plan gives you 100 free texts and 60 additional minutes a month in addition whatever the non-promotional combo gives you ($599...

I just had a German friend vist as he needed to up load his new CD to a site where users pay for tracks or the complete album, and his home uploads werent quite there. A good idea is to test from hinets site as they have files for download speed...

Well. I've done some research and it seems like it's going to be a cheap Sony Ericsson (if possible to flash, gonna email SE-Sweden and ask) or some Android phone (contrasts I know). I'm gonna wait a month or so and see what happens on the Android front (in prices and models) and decide then.

Some DVD players do come with 6 channel analogue output. Else you'll need a receiver with a dolby digital (and preferably DTS, it is better) decoder. They cost from about NT$20K I think you'll be preferring the first option, they certainly do exist.

Well, it's not that easy here you see, as certain services are only available in certain areas. In Taipei you'll be able to get ADSL pretty much anywhere and there's most likely going to be a FTTx (fibre) option, either from HiNet/CHT or from your local cable company. You can't chose the cable company though, you have to go with what's in the building. The different cable companies offer ...

I use Ruten for my business and it's pretty simple to sign up and sell. Used stuff seems to go quicker so you have that advantage. One potential drawback is the mass of stuff they have but as a new listing, you should be on the first few pages of your category for a while.

I wouldn't be surprised this is the case. But it's so cheap and I don't need to use it as frequently as before so I dropped to the basic service. In any event, TFN static is the way to go IMO. YMMV. _________________ Classification of humanoids from simplest to complex:

I would recommend, looking at this site. Making comparisons and shortlising what you like. With a few models in sight, most people would be able to advise you better. http://reviews.cnet.com/digital-cameras/ I have a sony, canon and a Nikon. For non professionals, all of them are good. Basically most cameras made these days, are made for a competitive market and don't disappoint. YOu should ...

7-11. Just ask the clerk how. Ditch the 011 in front. Don't know where you got that from. 002 is the code for placing a call outside Taiwan. 1 is the code for US. I send faxes to the UK, for which the code is 44, and I do 002-44-xxxxxxxx. Be aware, however, that there are a bunch of options for cheaper rates and they can sometimes require quite long prefix codes. Not really relevant for faxes, ...

It could also be overheating due to the surface the laptop is on. I tried using my laptop in bed once and it overheated right away..if the surface is soft at all it fills the vents under the computer. Right now mine is on a tablecloth and usually it's fine, once it bunched up a bit underneath and it overheated though, so it doesn't take much.
