a hobble is easy to make, Google the word bird hobble and they will show you how to make one for the little chick,
easy beans.

Poor little bird but it least you got her to a vet and she is all fixed up now. Giving a
bird medicine is a huge pain but we found it so much easier here if one of holds the bird and the other gives it the medicine. I also learned that if you put the end of your fingernail in there beak to pry it open and then stick the syringe right in after the fingernail its easier. I hate to say it but boomer...

I am so sorry, honestly your best thing you can do is to take him to a avian vet because we can only second guess what is wrong. I read somewhere that a change in there voice or cheep might indicate something but I just cannot remember what. If you can look into his mouth make sure there isnt any cotton like stuff inside his
beak, this could be yeast in there. I think Candidiasis may change there...

My favorite topic after I study worms in birds.
First--
these "
roundworms might be Paraceacum or Contraceacum,
which can kill the bird.
They are a false host to pet and aviary birds and are notoriously
for burrowing into guts and stomach, KILLING the bird.
Your bird need immediate treatment, both for the gut
AS WELL AS the worms that will be traveling ALL OVER
...
