Is this normal for foil prints?...

Hi Jay "Normally", foil transfer results can slightly vary from screen printer to screen printer, but generally they should produce continuous foil where you want it and no foil where you don't.

Urban outfitters screen kit
Published (2009-11-29 15:36:00)
Is it the Speedball one? If so, it is arguably the best hobbyist starter kit. A lot of people just starting out use this kit to make their first screen. It's a good starting point to decide if you want to go further in the trade, or to make personal screen printed items.

Ahh, they have a belt printer. Those are hard to find. I found one company in Oregon by contacting the people that make the M&R Predator.
edit: I just called the company in Oregon that I found and they are still testing the machine and should be ready for production in a couple of months.

For plastisol inks I would recommend not trying to print dark thermals. The white plastisol will not give a nice soft print. If you go wikth a light color or white you can use a Wilflex base such as Nova Base or Fasion Soft Base. They will give a soft print that will sink into the garment and will get into the texture. If you want a dark tone on tone effect, you can reduce your white with Nova ...

Yeah i'd use a stretch additive for sure.
I always get people coming into my shop with there own ribbed tank tops (for festivals etc) and i hate printing on them.I try one or two on as to get an idea of the stretch.Best bet is to print one on your small platten and print another one on your large platten and go from there.

I bought one on Amazon a few weeks ago at that price.
I was hoping some of the stores would put them on 1/2 price sale on Friday, but I haven't seen any ads for them.

I just bought 100 13x19 sheets from Victory Factory - Screen Printing Supplies - they're located in Queens, NYC. There are a lot of other places to get them, though.

Of course, just like Ann said.
On a white shirt, you could do a process color print. Or, on any color shirt, I'd recommend simulated process. You have to have a rip program, raster printer to print out the halftone films, and a press that can micro adjust.

Yes it should lay flat. Wooden screens will warp over time due to moisture
when reclaiming them. Depending on your image and how bad its warped you
still may be able to use it. Also see how tight the mesh still is.

I am looking for any useful information on screen printing on beanies. I am
sure we can do it, but I am just looking for some useful tips. Should we
use a lower mesh count to get a heavy deposit or would a higher mesh count
be better. Any useful tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

We have done a couple experiments with all over prints and have not found a
need to spray adhesive inside. Try without first.
