[CLOTHING LINE] opening a tee...

Hi Mocha: I've never been involved with these types of negotiations but here is my take just from being in business for a long time... - 6% gross in addition to $3K a month is way too much money - particularly in this market. I understand that it is a great location and that you expec to be making money from day 1, but honestly, that's not likely to happen. They want 6% of your gross... that's before you pay your bills... that...

Get professional advice. This is much to important, with huge impacts on your business, thus your life, to ask on a free T-shirt forum. This is, after all, an educational forum about tee shirts. This is not a tax, accounting or legal forum. And even then, I would say, the advice is often worth what you pay for it. You need to consult a professional who will look at your individual situation, your location (different laws, etc), and your...

Tax charges

Generally, you wouldn't charge tax to a reseller. Since the end user gets taxed as well, you are basically creating an extra level of taxation. To be sure, look into your state and local tax laws and requirements.

legality of putting a building...
Published (2009-11-20 02:17:00)
you can totally use an image of a building, the exterior or public places follows the same copyright laws as celebrities and public figures. They put themselves there, so you are allowed to photograph and publish those, it's only when you go beyond that, that it becomes a problem... For example you can use a picture of the outside of a celebs house, but you can't take a picture of the inside (it's considered private)... same...

Limited Liability Company! I think for a startup, Inc. would just be too much of a hassle.

I called the state board of equalization in california and talked to one of their reps. and he told me that I don't need to charge taxes. I was sure that he was going to say to charge it. I don't know this tax thing is so confusing! I thought that because I purchased the ink and all the material that I use to print the shirt wihtout paying taxes. If anybody from the state of california knows more about this please let me know. Happy...

Hello,
I am in the process of opening a screen printing shop and need some help if possible. I have noticed that some local screen printing shops offer embroidery and promotional products even though they don't do them theirselves and was wondering how to setup those options. I assume they have agreements with other companies and just sub contract the work out through their own company but ...

When I set my business up, it was strongly suggested that I set up a LLC. before I sold anything and if you already have the equiptment to have it legally transfered to the business and not to you personally. I was told that if something happened and I got sued as a LLC. they could only get what the company had as assets. If I did them as myself or as a DBA ( Doing Business as) and I got sued, ...

It is a bit confusing, do you want to be mistaken for them, if you grow quickly then they could benefit. Probably best to be distinctive.

If it's still being held up with the lawyers, there is clearly a problem. Perhaps the leasing agent you dealt with didn't have the authority to give you the 5 months free? The reason why I question that is because the 5 free months would include November and December. Most malls, plazas, etc charge an extra premium rental fee for those months. So giving them for free, even though you were ...

Ask a pro, but I'm doing an LLC. " Limited Liability" is the main reason (case the north goes south).
There are so many reasons to go with one type of infrastructure over the other. You want to ask a corporate lawyer
