Not knowing much about previous seasons of DW (prior to Nine), I think it would be interesting to give the Eleven a more mature companion (say Donna's age) to shake up the companion/Doctor bond a bit. I'd love to see a companion instinctively trying to parent the young man who's actually over 900 years old. In recent years we've seen most of his companions have a crush on him and I think ...

I floved her! Loved her courage and tenacity, and especially the wisdom to see that the Time Lord Triumphant was maybe not the best thing going. I wish she could have stayed around for more adventures in the TARDIS - Ten certainly does need someone to keep him in line.

Well that question is probably for another thread, darkestboy, but I take your point! I thought Lucy Saxon was a really interesting character. I loved Alexandria Moen's portrayal too, especially her dancing to "Here come the drums".

Well, the problem with that is that the whole time travel thing in this show goes with what I like to call the Terminator 2 method. In the first Terminator film there is only ever one timeline, with the actions of time travelers influencing the world even before they leave (the end of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is another example). In the second film, it's posited that time travel ...

Pond? Really? I suppose Stephen wants to make it clear there's a new broom sweeping. Better that then another Tyler or Jones.

On Rose in the latest two (series two) episodes: In some ways we were re-treading her journey in Father's Day, but I think she got an important point driven home to her - well, a couple. Firstly, that she can't spend her life wondering about might-have-beens. She got to meet her father in Father's Day, but she didn't really let go of wondering, and this showed her that she has to let go of that...

As it's now unlikely we'll see her again before Ten's departure (though who knows on these yet-to-be-shot specials), it would be interesting to see her dynamic with a different Doctor.

I'm actually starting to wonder if the Doctor is really the one to choose when the TARDIS does its teleports. After all how often now has it seemed to be somewhere by mistake, only for the problem to happen? I'm thinking the ship can sense fluctuations in the chronotemporal fabric, then land at the exact point where things can be changed for the better.
