I will say, though, that she didn't have a whole lot of incentive to do so. She was going through a trial, and something that would have become as public as her lying about Aaron's parentage would have significantly decreased her chances of lessening her punishment. Also, by that point, she and Aaron had developed a bond. Kate really needed something or someone she could pour all her love into. She subconsciously knew that, and...

She might meet Sawyer in the ALT or whatever time they seem to be shooting in. Maybe something was changed and she never went to the island and he recognizes her but not vice versa and just lets her go on with the memories she has. She could even be a complete opposite of the Juliet we knew. They owe us big time on Juliet. Her character must know so much about the island that she never told anyone, with the possible exception of James. I...

But does this include kidnapping a child and pretending that he belongs to said fugitive because the latter is upset over the disappearance of another? I don't think this is one selfish act that Kate should have an excuse for. I never said that kidnapping was excusable. Once she found out the kid had a relative, she should have given him back, no matter the cost. That would have been the right thing to do. I will say, though, that she...

Whatever Jack's motivation might be, it doesn't mitigate his asshatery one iota. He feels guilty, poor baby? Who cares? Why should Jack's guilt be more of the audience's concern than the needs of the totally innocent child. As for whose fault Aaron's situation is: My contention has always been that Jack was equal in responsibility to Kate, since he gave the seal of approval to her lie in private, just between the two...

pretorian , I don't know that we know for sure that Sayid is dead. I think it was left pretty open ended. They did a pretty good job at establish that Sayid was bleeding to death right before they would even head to the Swan site and considering the massive amount of blood loss he must have died alone in that van between the moment Jack dropped the bomb and Miles saved his father. I'm glad for that. I've really been trying hard to avoid anything S6 because I really want to be spoiler free.

The problem wasn't between Jack and Kate. Kate chose to make it an issue, and then Jack chose later to forget his issues for Kate. There was a problem between Jack and Kate the minute Sawyer made his sacrifice. Watch that scene again and take a look at the look Kate gives Jack when Frank asks if anyone else would like to jump. On Penny's boat Kate exchanges backing Jack for his compliance in her keeping Aaron. That decision looks...

Kalantri: It's part of why I think Jack is one of the least well written characters on the show, as well as the least complex. I agree with this, but I don't know whether it's intentional--we're supposed to realize the tremendous gap between Jack's claim of being a man of science and his impulsive, ill-considered actions--or whether it's just that the writers, who no doubt love sci-fi, don't actually know...

Or they thought slapping the 'Man of Science' label on Jack as Kalantri stated would make Jack more compelling, complex and interesting. It failed. Perhaps it would have worked had the writers bothered to actually utilize this aspect of Jack's supposed character trait in their story telling. Jack being a spinal surgeon told me one thing, he mimicked Christian in an effort to prove he was better, and the not the failure he...

I suspect that Jack had refused to have anything to do with Aaron, because he felt guilty for helping Kate maintain her deception about being the kid's mother. I don't believe that's it at all. Jack seemed to have no issues with Aaron, or Aaron's place in Kate's house, until he learned the truth about Claire's parentage. As soon as his pathetic daddy-issues raised their head and inserted themselves into that...

I noticed that Kate looked after Jack and Juliet's kiss with a bit of longing, but I didn't interpret it as wanting Jack for herself. She might've been thinking, " They have no problem being open and casual about liking each other. Why can't it be that easy for me and Sawyer?" I like this observation, but of course, Kate has basically been the reason for it not being open and comfortable...

Also, who is Jackass? Is there some middle-school version of this show I'm not watching? Ha! So funny. I didn't read the interview as MF talking about Jackass' take on things. I think MF now wants Kate and Jack back together, so he's talking them up again, just like he talked up Ana and Jack when he thought they were going that direction. He has a tendency change his opinion based on ...

Where would these poor idiots be without wise and wily Sayid? With Sayid on the case the game is truly afoot.

Sawyer, on the other hand, is more ruled by his dick than Jack is, and Ana is hot and was kissing him, so he responded. HAH! So true. I could easily believe that Sawyer considers Jack "the closest thing he has to a friend." Does he like Jack? Not particularly. But he has some respect for the guy and has probably spent more time with him than any other guy on the island. Maybe he just ...

Well I used to ship Jack/Kate up to the middle of season 3 but I gotta say that now I'm happy with Kate/Sawyer and Jack/Juliet pairings.(Maybe I'm just happy not to have any more triange/quadrangle drama). I still like the Jack/Kate friendship and I love watching MF and EL together. I think they have a really nice chemistry and I hope the writers continue to write scenes for them together. I mean...

Ditto above posters for the favourite TV villian of the moment. The only thing missing is a secret volcano lair, and even that has been alluded to in some flashbacks. Yes, as manipulative leader of the bad-guys ben's character would have run its course, but the game changer has re-written everyone's motivation. Previously it was the Losties trying to get off the Island (well, Jack anyway, but ...

I'm torn about it too. I like Juliet and I'm a big Saywer fan. I appreciate that Sawyer has had to grow up and calm his arse down in order to survive and get on with it for the last 3 years. I feel the writers want us to take Sawyer and Juliet as being in a loving healthy relationship. I suppose I can understand why they'd be together. But... I'm not feeling it. They seem sweet ...

Love Jack/Juliet, but after seeing tonight's episode, I firmly believe Jack does not deserve Juliet at all. I'll forgive Kate for a lot, but Jack doesn't get a pass on this. I was pretty angry at him for what went on in the most recent episode, and I agree he really does not deserve Juliet now. I'm also annoyed that she has been relegated to the other woman AGAIN! She's my favourite ...

poke, poke. Is this thread open? Either way I am jumping in. So I hope that the he Kate referred to in the season 3 finale is not Sawyer. I think that if she has been with Sawyer since the rescue than things will not end well between them. Obviously there is still much storyline to cover as far as Jack is concerned and if Kate and Sawyer are going to end up together (hopefully so) ...
