She was on the correct path with the osso buco, but instead of adding a bundle of fresh herbs, as most recipes call for, she used a seasoning packet and instead of tomato paste a can of diced tomatoes, because that's what she had on hand. I suppose that that particular subsitution wouldn't ruin the recipe. Then, cooking the dish in the slow cooker was overkill. I was ready to like this dish until the seasoning packet. Why not just...

She has sold us all a bill of goods... Only the Fandras. I think those of here are too smart to accept delivery.

I thought this was actually pretty good. I was dreading the thought of what she might do under the moniker "osso bucco" - one of the great delights of cookery - but she more or less made actual osso bucco. I do wish the turnips had been peeled, and the carrots and onions had been fresh, and I don't understand why a slow cooker was needed. She could have at least provided instructions on how to make in an oven, temp and...

Thank you Cheekybones for reminding us to be aware of those so much less fortunate than ourselves. During the holiday season, and all year through I'm thankful to have such a close knit family. I know there are many who don't have that cushion of love and support to fall back upon. Spent this afternoon and evening with my oldest brother's family.....he has two grown daughters and four grandchildren and lives about a quarter...

Pyrex and other materials can go from frig to oven without being at room temp. Still, I don't think her oven is on--hell, it's probably not plugged in to anything except for the lite bulb.

I was born and raised and now live in La Crosse, WI again and it makes me cringe so much to hear Sandra Lee talk about La Crosse in her episodes. Cringe I tell you.

Aww, they didn't count "pop". Nothing irritates me more about her than how we are going to pop this in the oven, pop this over here, pop it on our upside down cup.

I tried the fried ice cream. When the hell did the crazy bitch try to pass off deep frying a frozen treat that melts quickly on a warm spring day? The mind, it boggles.

Was that a Cuomo singing? How cringe worthy was that? The bizarre swaying by Sandra was a classic.

That was enough canned frosting to gag a reindeer. And her repeatedly saying "christmas balls" while decorating the cake had me spitting coffee.
