I would mark out *huge* if Genie Francis (and Jonathan Frakes for that matter!) were to be cast on Dancing with the Stars. Question though.... Genie would be any easy match up height wise (Louis, Mark, Derek, Dmitry...or Jonathan Roberts?!? - personally, a Louis/Genie pairing is what this girl would go for...) But at 6'4", Jonathan Frakes would present a bit of a dilemma due to his height alone. There just...

Pretty sure those are the people that produce the clip packages we see before/after dances. Thus "field work" -- any footage shot outside of the studio.

I don't define star as an actor/actress. It's someone in sports or whatever their designated field is (though some choices have been questionable.... I always thought that a "Star" is someone who excels in his or her field. I know that "some" of the criticism and reason for the decline in ratings has been the question "Who are these people?". I think that Kelly Ripa and her...

Brad Garrett YES. I'd love to see Kevin McHale or any other GLEE cast member on this show, but I don't know if that's very likely.

No, no, please no! I hope TLC doesn't allow it. I would take any member of the Jackson family over Kate Gosselin. I agree. We've had plenty of her AND her now ex husband! And if she IS on.....please not with Maks!!

Is that Derek Hough dancing with Cheryl Cole as she performs Parachute? The guy I think is him is the one dancing with her so he's easy to spot. If that is him it's certainly a surprise. Cheryl's Night In airs before X Factor so it's a pretty big gig. I wonder if he'll be in the video as well. Derek also choreographed the routine. He did an amazing job!! He is rumored to be going back in January to do...

I'm still hoping for Rick Springfield. He's got a new memoir coming out next year so maybe he'll do the show to promote the book. Well, his run on Californication this season showed he's pretty much up for anything, so who knows.

Dancing Stars Race to Erase MS Ian says he's not doing Playgirl. Drew says his allegience is to Cheryl (big surprise there), but if she can't win then is rooting for Joey/Kim. Is there some sort of former boybanders alliance?

I know that Jennifer Aniston expressed interest, but for one reason or another, has not been cast. I would personally love to see her do it. But would it be considered a step down? And would the producers not select her because such a big star would dominate the votes?

Here's a question for the true dancesport experts among the TWoPpers: The night of the tango, Laila and Maks were severely lectured - and marked down - for breaking the hold in their tango. Later, Joey and Kym and one other couple [I forget whom] also broke hold, though not for as long. Not only were they not penalized, but Joey and Kym got rave reviews and top marks. What was the difference ...

The band and/ or singers have to go as they are simply a hindrance to the celebs and pros. There is no excuse for having such a weak group when I'm sure that L.A. is filled with talented singers and musicians. Maybe our current performers are good individually, but they simply do not perform well as a unit. I don't buy the excuse that they only have limited rehearsal time because the bands and ...

Oh, I cannot tell you how nice it will be to have a Samantha- centric thread to post about her many, many 'oopsie!'s and blunders. I usually go in hoping for her to straighten up and be awesome, but then my hopes are usually dashed after about ten minutes. We'll see tonight if she can pull off an entire interview with a star without sounding like she just made the question up in her head that very...

Do the judges use their scoring/comments to try to influence how people vote? Well, heck yes, though I don't think there's any conspiracy here. If you're a judge, you want people to vote for the dancers you think are strongest and most interesting, so you give the highest scores and best remarks to your favorites and hope the public follows suit. Do the producers want a female ...

You missed her other exciting and prestigious credit. She played Fook Yu in one of the Austin Powers movies. I think she owes us all an apology for her crap last night (especially the truckdriver thing. That was just rude.) Or maybe she owes us her resignation? (Maybe if I ask Len really nicely and refrain from calling her a porn actress for that Fook Yu thing?) The way they highlighted last ...

Is it hard to get tickets? I'm thinking of getting some for my wife for our anniversary and they go on sale next week. Should I be ready to start clicking at 10:00 AM on Monday? ETA: Oh, and are they expensive?

I would love to see Pasha on this show as a pro next season. I think he's got the same sweetness and great partnering skills that Jonathan does, plus the hot Russian accent like Maks. He'd be a great addition to DWtS! Has he competed as a pro on the ballroom dance circuit? Because I think all of the other pros have to a greater or lesser extent.
