Sanctuary: Torchwood Vancouver?...

Peachy Keen What actually made me frown was the explanation that Henry and Big Guy were at ComicCon. Doesn't that happen in August? Which makes sense if that's when they wrote this episode, but surely the writers know that it won't see the TV screen for a while, and then the ComicCon reference is out of date. Am I the only one bugged by this? me!me!me! It bugged me! I agree the writers should...

Just got Season 1 on DVD! I'm so excited! Since I'm snowed in I'll have something to do this weekend. :) I got an Amazon.com gift card and 30 minutes later was ordering a movie and Sanctuary Season 1.

I honestly had no idea Beyond Sherwood Forest was that Robin Hood movie (directed by longtime Stargate series director Peter DeLuise as well, right?). Any redeeming value in it at all apart from Maid Marian's cleavage?

I don't think that Kate is that bad. She seems to have tone it down the past several episodes. I just got season 1 on DVD and (I know I'm probably going to catch hell for this) but I miss Ashley. She's starting to grow on me and I love her interactions with Magnus. Damn you Sci-fi! Oh pardon, I mean Syfy. How ridiculous of a name is that?

...They said that Torchwood is darker and that Jack is actually harder to relate to than any of the Doctors. I am not so sure that I agree with that... To be honest the only Doctor I know is the one from the episode that had Torchwood in it so I'm in no position to judge here but Torchwood is more complicated to explain than "alien onboard a phone booth that picks up company from time to time". Torchwood purpose was...

I'm with anstar; I think the Furlings are giants that we never see again. And I've always liked the Nox, mostly because of Armin Shimerman. He was both patient and exasperating, and one of the lesser arrogant (notice I didn't say "humble") advanced species. My favorite scene in Torment of Tantalus is Daniel's reaction when he figures out the four great races were using chemistry as a commonality amongst...

For me, the best place to find a roadmap of any kind for the show is the wonderful site Stargate- SG1- Solutions.com. Here is a link to the season 1 transcripts of the show. Here is the scene in question - remember the room with all the "pretty picture thingys" floating in the air? ERNEST Silver, iron, barium, xenon. CATHERINE Oh, my God. So many electrons. How can you tell? ERNEST I've been here a very long time....

Hmmm. The Parole Officer had anger issues--he "hulks out" and turns into a maniacal killer. Check. The baby wants a daddy. So he "drafts" anyone who seems to fit the job requirements. Check. Purity Girl was taunted and teased for being a prude--so she starts turning her tormentors into her followers. Check. Octogenarian Gal (presumably) wanted to be young again (or at least, I would in her shoes), so...she...

Did I say how much I miss this show? Why the heck don't they throw me a bone and make a freaking movie already? Ah be careful what you wish for. The Dead Like Me movie was horrible. Anyway I liked the ending with Syd and Vaughn and the kids being safe and together.

Did anyone else wonder if Nathan's superpower (assuming he has one, which I do) has something to do with the lights that seemed to come on when he came (though if that's how his powers activate, they'll be of strictly limited use). Of course, he was probably more preoccupied with the fact that he just screwed an octagenarian (I did love it when he said "I just fucked a grandmother!" "I don't ...

I've seen up to episode 4. I kind of like the show. I'm not much for procedurals, but this is a cool twist. One thing I do like about most BBC shows is the more serialized nature of the shows. I like how they basically failed in the first episode. I don't think that would have been the resolution if it was an American show. I also like how the complexity is building every week, with ...

Aw. Charmed finally got CANCELLED! from TWoP. It was weird not seeing the show in the list of current program. Anyway, since we were discussing our favorite/least favorite episodes in the Rerun thread, I'll just continue with my least favorite of the series (in no particular ranking order): "The Devil's Music": Dishwalla sucks. Jenny sucks. Plot contrivances derived from financial woes ...

Single thread makes me sad. I still need to catch up on close to 93% of the second season. Last episode I remeber watching was Alison From Palmdale .

Zengar , I caught the webisodes on youtube so that's probably the best place. tTVa - thanks for the info. I'll probably see the rest of the webisodes before I watch the series. I too think it's a little Torchwood but as I'm a fan of that series, I'm ok with that. I wanted to see what else AT can do since I only know her from Stargate and the few guest spots on other shows, so I ...

None of the men in the sperm bank would have died if Jack hadn't chosen to save the Doctor's hand rather than to stop Carys from escaping. I agree, HeadCase . Especially when Jack said that Gwen was responsible for all of those deaths in the fertility clinic. Of course, I didn't think of it til you mentioned it. (duh) Now I wish she had said 'go talk to the hand" or something. I also ...

I gotta say I'll probably watch it from first ep to last. I'm a masocist like that. The number of years it took me to break free of Passions..... Anyway, I hope Lorne is on it. I like the idea of them being stuck in an alternate reality or out of their own time. That actually makes it sound interesting. Don't tease us.

I felt the same way about the last scene, unfortunately. And I love the kid playing Willie Adams/a, but his eyes are brown! I'm very much looking forward to the series. I always felt that BSG gave short shrift to the backstory of the twelve colonies (out of necessity) and I really enjoyed all the detail trickling in about the other worlds, and the more nuanced depiction of their cultural ...
