RCI Deposit getting nowhere

Would Edisto work? It doesn't have the name recognition of HHI, but it sounds like a pretty nice laid-back place. Wyndham Resale

I know both actions are call exchanges in Wyndham sale program 1. Exchange through RCI. 2. Exchange your deed to another newer resort deed (it also called equity transfer). Internally, it is called reservation. You already give trust your point. Which is defined in your contract. By using the same name to call 2 different things, they can always claim you are mistakenly confused by your own imagination, so they can win in case you plan to pull...

Pahio owners: Wyndham changes
Published (2009-12-13 01:19:00)
We bought our 2 weeks because we wanted guaranteed OF units for a reasonable cost, so we just have no reason to convert at any price. If I wanted Wyndham points, I'd just buy some resale. I actually wouldn't mind, but we already own too many timeshares!

RCI Deposit getting nowhere

Listing every GC on the East Coast, presumably includes a lot of non Wyndham. Wyndham deposits have less than stellar trading power and are best used to exchange back into other Wyndham resorts. Brian has posted repeatedly Wyndham resorts available for exchange at about the 8 mth mark so look over the list of Wyndham resorts and see what could be acceptable and include them in the search. For other resorts you really need to expand the choices...

Wyndham RCI Points Resorts

Thanks Brian, I didn't know that.

Thanks to everyone for the information. We own 3 wks of timeshare at resorts we want to be at. No RCI fees and no exchange fees. (Not that they can't be a good thing and work for some people, but for us owning where we want to be is important.) We just went to this presentation for information and I thought I would pass on what I was told. I know most of what they tell you is baloney(almost got caught up in an Avalon scheme!!! and I have...

Thanks again for all of your help, this year we are planning on using the fixed week. One more question, can I only go for a full week with wyndham or can I go for 3 nights one time and 4 nights another? I don't think I can but I was just wondering. Troy

Renting out PTs question
Published (2009-12-11 15:00:00)
You are in the range. $7 might be a tad high . ie: Prime 1 bdr at 154,000 x $7 plus $99GC = $1177 for the week. Value 1 bdr at 105,000 x $7 plus $99GC = $834 for the week. You goal might be to cover cost + $175 (which is $25 per day of their vacation). So Prime 154K + GC is $4.7 = $823 + $175 ==> $1000 Value 105K + GC at $4.7 = $593 + $175 ==> $770

I don't think there is a question that Alexandria is MUCH better for families than National Harbor. As of today, National Harbor is basically a business convention site. There are a bunch of business class hotels, a few upscale stores, and mostly fine dining. They try to attract visitors with a farmers market and some tourist events on weekends, but not nearly as much as what's available in ...

At this moment, most of the deposit Wyndham makes are still in week format, so you can put on-going search or search first on these resorts.
If you are Wyndham owner, Wyndham will not allow you to do point side exchange with these resorts.

I had a similar situation this summer. My breakthrough came when an II representative offered to call Wyndham while I was online. It took me many phone calls. They will hold your exchange for you though.

As of July, 20% have converted. At some point, we may be able to book only the deed week we own even if it's a float week. Since I own week 7, I don't see that as much of a problem because vacationing in February works for my schedule.

Welcome to TUG! I am sorry, but I had to delete some of the specifics from your post, because we have a strict no-advertising in the forums. To post a free Ad in our classifieds, please click on the Marketplace link in the red bar at the top of the page.
Unfortunately, because of the economy, the timeshare resale market has taken a dive and Wyndham points are only worth pennies on the dollar...

Picking up a cheap e-bay week is certainly something to look. However dumping your existing week will be the challenge.
I do not understand why Wyndham "reconverted" your week back. Was the missed payment from the previous conversion?

If a timeshare salespersons lips are moving, they are lying. Period.
If you are interested in El Cid, there is a nice 308K package on Ebay that can be bought for much, much less than the 8k they offered you for a 105K .

What can you to do guarantee it? Nothing. From the web form: "This option is subject to availability and requested deposit may not be available."
But, this is one area where the squeaky wheel might get some grease. Keep trying to escalate your question up the chain until someone helps you just to get you to go away.
