Actually - in the TS reservation world, a 2011 exchange really isn't a long way off, since 2010 is right around the corner. You should put in a "request first" as soon as your dates are firm - at least 12 mos. out. Spain always has a lot of inventory, and you will be able to do an online search as soon as your ownership is confirmed with Starwood.

I agree with everyone on this thread so far. It is time to push for changes. Just like Gmarine said, I believe Starwood is failing miserably.

I just can't reconcile in my mind why Starwood's fee increases would be so much higher than Marriott's in the same markets without something untoward going on. A while back there was a poll about Starwood's management relative to the rest of the timeshare industry. I think I answered that they were "no better and ...

Normally you could exchange back into your home resort, but I think II has a regional block that prevents Orlando owners from trading into Orlando. MORE INFO.

I'd cook the turkey ahead of time, de-bone it and pack the meat in a soft-sided cooler with an icepack. The rest of the meal depends on whether you want to make everything from scratch or buy-it in a box (e.g. pototoes, gravy, stuffing). I'd also consider buying sides from a local restaurant.
