235/85/16's on stock wheels
Published (2009-11-08 01:08:00)
This seems to be a size which is not as common as say a 265/75/16 for this truck. I just liked the idea of a tire which would be more or less the same width as the stock 245's, but with a higher profile and a more aggressive tread for the 4cyl truck. I thought the 235's would also be less weight, comparing E range in both sizes...

what size tire should i get

Some more info about what year, engine, transmission, etc would be helpful, because this could be more of a maintenance issue than tire-size selection.

Hell, that was just a gentle punch on the shoulder for Stealth. Not sure whats up OOregs tailpipe. Maybe he needs to stay on the porch. If I were trolling, I'd use bigger bait to scare away the minnows. My REAL opinion on chains: I haven't needed them in a wide variety of circumstances, but they are useful. I find vehicle weight to be a big factor for road traction, as well as turning down the effin radio and listening to what your...

i just got these installed yesterday and they are so far the best mud tire i had as of design and road noise, since i didnt have enough time to see the thread life on it or off road capability, but they make the sidewalls on thesse more thicker so it can withstand more abuse, and you can put heavy loads on them, the max psi on it is at 65psi, hope this helps some. my size is 285/70/17 and i have ...

im running em and they are narrow, but they seem to do well in everything ive put em through. im not sure about the better fuel economy because they are a load range e sized tire so that might be a wash between the width and the weight.

i looked into this a while back, they told me they can only order the regular silver color. to order the gumetal or black fj wheels you have to own an fj that they came on. they need vin verification and proof that you own the vehicle... i guess toyota doesn't want everybody and their mom having gunmetal or black trd fj wheels
and with the lift what year taco? pre 04 you can fit 285's with a...

i have them in the same exact size as you and love them on rock and mud. before the Big's i had some offbrand AT and my new Big's are quieter than they were on the road.
i usually air down to about 13-15 when i go and i have yet to have trouble with them. i recommend them to anybody looking for a cheap but great MT tire.
Corrosion has them and has been through more than me and as far ...

First off I have not run that size, but I have run Bias TSL's for some time now so maybe I can offer up a little bit of info. The real issue you may have is the front end dealing with the weight of those tires. My 33x12.50 TSL's weigh 60 lbs each, so the "Q" should weigh in the 65-70 lb area. Having wheeled with many buddies running " light weight" 35's like the BFG M/T's I can tell you they break...

u got a tougher and stronger tire at a lower price than u should have. id keep em load range e isnt that bad at all in my opinion. they are goin on a truck not a caddi so they can be a little stiff
