you don't need to machine the rotor, just enlarge the hole somehow. rotors don't need to be hubcentric the pirate 4x4 writeup used a plasma cutter the only thing you actually need from sky is the brackets. the rest is readily available parts.

Alloys or steel wheels?

Oh yeah thats why I went with alloys...kinda wanted to get 16's with 285's but I dont think my 2.7 driving 4.10 gears would of liked it too much with a inch taller and E load vs my C loads

haha yea its really not too bad, but definitely not a stocker. To the OP, just get the gears man, theres nothing gayer than a lifted truck that sucks ass offroad because it has no ass due to really high gearing and big tires. The difference between 33s and 35s is huge, doesnt seem like it but it is.

Roger that. Even though you do body work I can't imagine replacing that cab corner. And that sucks about having to get the spacers, but I guess it comes with the teritory. Can't wait to see how the tubbing comes out man.

just got the at's mounted on the tacoma wheels and..............the difference is crazy. Smooth ride, and its soo much easier to turn, i guess because of it being a lighter and more narrow tire and wheel. Im not sure what im doing with the other set just yet. Ive seen the AT's perform pretty darn good on the trails and rocks. so i guess time will tell. Oh yea, myne dont rub at all full left or right.

As long as the wheels you want are Hub Centric, you'll be fine either way.

With that backspacing, you would probably be almost a full lug out past the TRD fenders... What about running a Pro Comp rim comparable to the Eagle alloy 185?

There are several on here that run 4.10s and 35s with the 3.4L, but most have an auto. Your gonna be hating life a little more with the 5sp, but if you don't feel like spending the money on the 4.88 gears, then I guess you'll get used to it.

I am looking at purchasing a new set of wheels. I am having a bit of a hard time deciding if I should buy alloy wheels. I have a set in mind that I want to buy. I have a buddy who is giving me a good deal on a set of eagles alloys 185. Right now I have black steel wheels that are pretty cool(except for the red and blue ring that circles around the outer diameter of the wheel). Before I ...

First off I have not run that size, but I have run Bias TSL's for some time now so maybe I can offer up a little bit of info. The real issue you may have is the front end dealing with the weight of those tires. My 33x12.50 TSL's weigh 60 lbs each, so the "Q" should weigh in the 65-70 lb area. Having wheeled with many buddies running "light weight" 35's like the BFG M/T's I can tell you they break...
