If you are referring to a replacement 700lb spring then your answer is this: A coilover can only be extended as far as it's overall length, obviously. The highest recommended height for your Taco would be about 2.5 - 3 inches without replacing UCA's and a few other things. That being said, a 700lb spring will support the weight of the vehicle better, especially with additional weight on the front. It will require less...

5100 and front coils
Published (2008-11-26 13:19:00)
I just got my 5100's in the mail, but have a question about the front coils. I have the stock 1995.5 non-trd coils on the truck with 115,000 miles on them no sagging at all. I also have a set of 2002 trd coils that I planned on putting on with the 5100's originally, but have read some posts about them being progressive coils and rideing harshly. Which one do you think would ride better? I have way too much into my suspension to get a...

I have had my OME suspension kit for about a year now and I have some questions about sagging. I just wondered about how much "sag" would be normal, because it is looking like I've lost over an inch from when it was new and I haven't lost anything in the rear. I thought that the rear would sag some to even things out but it hasn't done anything yet but the front is about back to stock. I think ...

Question is that I have a set of Allpro coilover with 650 springs and adjusted to 2.5". I haven't put a heavy bumper or winch yet. Would the heavy spring actually makes it more than 2.5" of a lift? My inner cv had been rip two times within five month period. Should I adjust it to 1.5" until I add the winch and new bumper?

Hey guys. We have been working with Total Chaos for a while now in developing a Long Travel Coil-over Shocks for their Extended A Arm Systems. The first shocks we will have available will be for the FJ Cruiser/4Runner Chassis's and the 05-Up Tacomas. We set them up to get the most wheel travel without sacrificing Compression or Full Extension. They aren't your standard off the shelf shock. ...

This is a follow up thread (as requested) on the Toytec early Taco Add-A-Leaf. I'll start with Toytec as a company. Since I live in Denver and Toytec is 20 minutes from me, I decided to stop by, check out the operation, and purchase everything I needed for my rear suspension. I can't say enough about these people! I was surprised on how small of an operation it was. Two receptionists ...

I wanted to relocate my shocks to get them out of the way, so I made some new ones. First, I took the bed off of the truck. Much easier to get to things that way. Then I welded in plates for the crossmember Installed crossmember. I notched it so that it would support the bed, and I gained a bit of clearance. Shocks mounted. All put back together. Now I ...

These are Camburg Engineering's all new 4" lift spindles for the 2005-2009 Tacoma Prerunner, 2006-2009 FJ 4x2, and 2003-2008 4Runner 4x2. These are a great solution for larger tires and factory ride or much need clearance for larger tires with our bolt in mid travel coilover or long Travel kits. Factory spindles are known for bending so this new design is much stronger than the factory units...
