I am pretty sure the diffs between the 22r and 22re is the 22re is
fuel injected. I think either one would be okay. But they stopped making the non efi 22r in 1984? Also I would get the 5sp. Good luck

im not sure if you want to do that i personally dont know anyone running a marine engine id just do a 350 swap that way you know there are
adaptors you know exist

Dual boxes = dual transfercases ok gotcha
umm the front case is a
transfer case most people use the stock ones, rear case is a transfer case out of another vehicle most people put 4.7 gears in the rear t-case.
Two stock (or modified with 4.7's or whatever) transfer cases and an adaptor

You have to remove the lower nut on the bottom of the spindle and then with a mallet or deadblow hammer hit the axle to free it from the spindle. Once you have that done...you need a
pry bar to pop the axle loose from the diff you will have to give it a few good jerks with wht pry bar as just applying pressure will not pop it out of place!
I hope that makes sense...I am pretty sure there are ...
