Just read in a thread here,... leakdown, adjust valves, leakdown, oil the
piston rings then leakdown again.
Also he took his head to a place in edison nj and was charged 350. I am wondering if that included machining and replacment of valves. I would be cool with paying that.

Front range makes a simple one. Don't know if thats what you want though. If you want it to be a bit more bash friendly, I'd go with rectangular tubing or round tubing (which you said you don't want). As far as oil. i use
mobil 1. i dont mind spending some extra money for something as important as the motor.
That said all of the oils that are sold and meet the api will be fine as long as you change them when they need to be changed. regular maintenance(oil changes) is far ...

IMO it sounds like you have air in the clutch lines. Try bleeding it first..
