Flex the rear and if the e-brake cable is too tight, flip the bracket next to the gas tank.

Keep it until it breaks/you have a good idea and money for what you want to replace it with. The major gripe with them is that they ride harsh. i had a set of the coilovers and the lower mounts on them failed. they are just not as high a quality product as what else is out there.

Ok thanks. I cant how much stuff is breaking on my truck all at once. I was suppose to buy a new head for my truck because I have a few burnt valves. But i cant do that now because I need a new radiator and heatercore. With everything I need I cant afford all this at once! This is crazy. I can barely see out of my windshield becaue its fogging so bad. the rad is leaking so bad that I have to carry a ton of coolant with me. im going to order...

bad axle seal or synthetic?

Yes, once the seal has been popped id just replace it. The seal is only like $5 and it's only a 30/45 min job to replace.

Front range makes a simple one. Don't know if thats what you want though. If you want it to be a bit more bash friendly, I'd go with rectangular tubing or round tubing (which you said you don't want). The rect. tubing in the size of 6x2x.25wall makes a damned fine and strong bumper that will take a beating. You could take a few pictures to a fab shop and have it done pretty cheap (assuming you ...

I don't understand how people have so many problems with these trucks. I'm 6'2", 175-180lbs and I fit fine in the truck with the seat slid all of the way back, and the rear perfectly upright (not leaned back at all). I don't see how reclining couldn't fix the problem. A seat that sits lower to the floor would give you more head room but less leg room, a seat that sits higher ...

if i were you i'd go buy new U bolts... get some from wheelers offroad. you don't need to cut the exhaust butit will rub on full flex.. e-brake none.. stock bolt is fine when removing the brake line make sure you use a vflare nut wrench so you dont strip it out with a regular one...

Hissing sound is coming from the 4WD actuator near the transfer case, not the front diff. Now I'm fearing having to take my rig down to the dealership. Is there anything else I can try? From what I'm understanding, taking apart the TC actuator is a real pain. I'm still not sure what I'd even be looking for. Please help!

It should, just the gas lid will have a lock on it and the fender flares on the 98 are different, but you could use yours from the 03.

Just read in a thread here,... leakdown, adjust valves, leakdown, oil the piston rings then leakdown again. Also he took his head to a place in edison nj and was charged 350. I am wondering if that included machining and replacment of valves. I would be cool with paying that.

this has also been covered many a time on the board. searching will help you avoid getting flamed as much. As far as oil. i use mobil 1. i dont mind spending some extra money for something as important as the motor. That said all of the oils that are sold and meet the api will be fine as long as you change them when they need to be changed. regular maintenance(oil changes) is far ...
