I don't know what kind of visual changes DDFix makes, but I do know that the menu option will never change to say 32 bit even if DDFix is working properly.

Try going through a manual install of DDFix, as described in the DDFix thread .

Hey, thanks man, download right now.
But I'm curious, how did you get your hands over that CD?
EDIT:
This stuff is fantastic! I'm listening to Ops2 as I type this and my ears are crying.

You might want to give a link to the file on your website , since

I remember being absolutely petrified. Every single enemy would make me jump when they saw me, and I lived in a constant state of terror during
every moment of my first playthrough. But I couldn't stop playing.
Of course, I was 8 as well.

Are you holding down Shift when you press the semicolon?
If this is your
first time through the game, by the way, it's advisable to not cheat.

Thanks for putting those up. There are always things that can be improved but overall those trailers had decent direction and although the music had gaps they make me want to see the finished mod.
You realise you've created a rod for your own back by invoking the spirit of 2003 again?

SS2 didn't "own the sales" but it didn't sell bad either. Your question is posed from a retrospective point of view. Nowadays SS2 is considered a classic but when it came out it was a hard, disturbing game that required more than a kid's passing glance to note it's quality. Gamer demographics have changed since 1999, there are more mature gamers around today.
